Sea to SummitUltra-Sil Dry Sack, Ultralight Dry Bag

I purchased one of these on a panicked whim 2 days before leaving on my trip to Patagonia, Chile when I couldn't find my backpacks rain cover (thank-you Prime shipping!) I figured if I couldn't keep the outside of my pack dry, I could at least keep whatever is in this bag dry - life saver! It rained, it poured, it sleet(ed?), it snowed, it did all of that straight down and sideways - and everything stayed dry! Most importantly my snuggly pajamas stayed dry. This kept the few electronics I had dry too. Nothing is more satisfying after a long day of rainy windy hiking than sliding into my sleeping bag in dry pajamas!

I ordered orange, and the label on the packaging says orange, but this is definitely a red bag! Otherwise it is as advertised. Silicone based water proofing is easier and more standard to repair, and matches the rest of my kit. I like that it has replaceable clips- no sewing or sealing if one breaks.

It's longer than what I needed but good quality. The field replaceable buckle doesn't seem very useful...who carries a spare buckle and Philips screwdriver in the field?

I bought this bag for my snorkeling trip and it worked so well! It held my water bottle, phone, wallet, keys, and towel! Great buy

Very light and compact so it can be taken anywhere. It also floats in case it falls off your kayak or paddle board. I'll put electronics into a small lightweight dry bag and put that inside of a larger heavier duty dry bag for extra security when I'm out on the water.

I’ve used Sea to Summit products for years, and I especially love their Ultrasil line. These new bags have a “patent pending” new (replaceable) clip style and it is difficult to impossible to open , once the clip is secured. I nearly had to cut the bag open to get at my gear inside. Unfortunately, I didn’t discover this until the past the return date, because I hadn’t used them on a trip until recently. I had just assumed that the product was as good as ever. My mistake.

I purchased a few of these in varying sizes, all have been well made and they are very light. These are great for backpacking to keep your stuff dry. Highly recommend.

Ok well shipping was fast of course. I purchased the 13L for my section hike of the AT. Wanted something that will hold all my clothes other than what I will be wearing and the size I believe is perfect. Puffy jacket, change of underwear, Socks, another outfit, base layer and anything extra that will need to stay dry. I filled it and ran it under the sink for a few mins and everything was dry so I don’t have any doubts what u put in will stay dry so that concern is no longer. I wouldn’t submerge it but under normal use it should be fine. I also sprayed the seams inside and out with waterproofing for just an extra layer of protection, which it probably didn’t need it. As for the build quality, it’s perfect. Typical Sea to Summit, good quality. It seems thin and it is but it also seems that for what I’m intending to do with it it should last many seasons unless I snag it on something. Not to fear it is of good quality. Buckles are nicely made and fit together very good and can be replaced if in time that becomes necessary. This bag weighs next to nothing so for Ultra lighters it’s great. My suggestion is that if u wanna use it for clothing to stay dry for hiking it’s perfect. If u wanna use it for a food bag, I would recommend using Dyneema instead. Unless u are not worried about animals and such. This dry bag will not hold up to mice, critters, bears etc. But to keep the contents dry this bag is a no brainer. Dry, light weight and build quality it’s the one to get. Just pick the size u need. Hope this helps. I’m happy with mine and u will be too, just use it for what it is intended for. As long as u don’t submerge it it will be completely water repellent I’ve tested it.

At first it felt like it would be more waterproof material but during my trip it kept allthe contents dry. But if you're looking for more plastic vinyl thick feel it's not this one

小屋泊で持っていく物モバイルバッテリーやコード類　それっぽいケース買って収納してましたが少し重量が（日常使いではまったく気にならない重さ）気になり　結論　濡れなければいいだけなのでシーテゥーサミットのドライサックを選びました。サイズ感ピッタリで軽いです

外仕事の為、雨や汗をかいた衣類のパッキングの為に購入しました。他の商品の様なターポリン生地ではなく薄手のナイロン生地ですのでリュック隙間に細く丸めて縦収納することができ持ち運びに便利です。縫製もしっかりしているので約2ヶ月毎日使用していてもほつれて来ることは今のところありません。生地も浸透性がなくかなり濡れてしまった衣類を入れても、リュック内が湿る事もなく安心です。また密閉性が高いので空気を抜く様にしてからロールトップを巻いていく事でコンプレッションサックのように収納した衣類を潰してパッキングすることができます。理想的な使用感でとても満足しています。
