Awesome Growth Mindset Book
This book is a favorite of my 5 and 3 year old. They love the super heros and the funny situations. I love that it's teaching them a growth mindset and it's fun to read. It is eloquently written and rhymes without being cheezy.

Great story and illustrations
Use this in therapy with children along with other Superhero play therapy exercises I have developed. Like that they are generic super heroes.

Great for validating emotional reactions & focusing on healthy reactions.
My 6 yo loves this book and we’ve read it many times. It demonstrates that anyone can have the heavy emotions and feel like losing control, and at the same time we can choose to let our feelings out in ways that don’t hurt, we can use self-control with behavior, and we can do good things to feel better. Positive coping! My son finds the characters and illustrations very alluring and likes to look at the pictures and talk about them. He has big feelings and often assumes the unpleasant ones are bad rather than normal. So it’s just such a great, teaching, entertaining book. It’s perfect. I think it’d be great for kids 4 and up.

My new favorite kid book!
This is the cutest book! I love the message; it’s so well written and the super hero take is super fun. The pictures are so colorful and it’s an awesome book that kids will love and the super hero & deeper lesson aspect is just great. My new favorite kid book!

Normalizes feelings and shows appropriate coping skills
Not really a book relating directly to emotional intelligence (this was recommended in my Amazon search for EQ children's books), however it's pretty good. It's basically about using adaptive coping skills when upset vs maladaptive (destructive) coping. My child liked the rhyming and the illustrations, and I appreciated that it normalized that it's okay to have strong emotions (i.e. even people we admire have tough days), it's how we deal with those feelings that matters. I was hoping for more focus on recognizing emotions in self and others, but this still has some good attributes. I'd recommend it for ages 3-6.

Great read for all
I just got this book over the weekend and my kids have already read it several times (I even caught my 13yr old son reading it 👍😉) it has opened up family discussion of acceptable ways of dealing with anger, and what they can and should do when angry (Now all I need to do is pray and see if they actually do!). This book is fantastic in engrossing the children with a superhero theme and lends way to many avenues and discussions of tools for self regulation. I have just ordered several more copies for my colleagues who work with special needs children. This is a great tool to open up discussion and teach calming techniques. The superhero theme and detailed illustrations is sure to captivate and engage the special needs children we work with. A rare gem for the special needs child and truly delightful for kids of all ages and abilities.

Great cross training book for all ages.
No matter what your age is, this book is as plain as it gets. Most people are SUPERHEROS, and we all have a bad day now and then.

Great perspective on anger as a choice
What a clever book! This is useful for a range of ages! My sons age 5 and 6 really understand anger as a choice from this book. It doesn't work miracles but it goves a very good basis for talking about how we can express our feelings and which actions are healthier. Very fun to read.

Wonderful book with a beautiful message
I got this for my kids because I love the message. It teaches regulating emotions in a way kids can understand and they are engaged the whole time because of the pictures of superheroes.

Three Stars
Not much fun and a bit too high on complicated language and morals.

A great book for helping children to identify how to deal with emotions.
My 4 year old son loves this. It’s been great to look at how different the characters look between when they’re calm and when they’re angry. My son has even gone to get it when he’s felt cross and asked me to read it to him and some of the phrases have come in handy as useful reminders for calming down.
