Great product
While my wife had a ruptured achilles tendon, this boot was invaluable and worked perfectly keeping her walking boot dry. A must have when you have to wear a boot 24/7.

Good quality, but the price seems to keep increasing as positive reviews are added...
After a recent run-in with the trail in the Coronado National Forest (yes, the trail won), I'll be living in a short-arm cast for the next few weeks; so I needed a way to keep my arm dry while in the shower, etc. Given the relative bargain price ($9.26 with tax and free shipping with Prime), compared to similar cast protectors, I wasn't sure what to expect from this one; however, I've been pleasantly surprised. Rest assured that this device is made of extremely durable material (which the seller describes as "surgical rubber") and that the silicone bladder/seal affords water-tight protection for your arm, as advertised (a huge improvement over the plastic bag and rubber band that I was using, with um, marginal success). Length is 21" from the silicone bladder to distal end of the hand piece (see attached picture, which was taken after it had been used, daily, for one month). I noted in other reviews that some have shared that this is "not 100% waterproof". I found that it is, if applied correctly. For me, the secret to ensuring that the cover seals properly is to place it completely over the cast and configure the silicone bladder so that the seal is a convex shape (see 1st attachment), rather than positioned in a concave configuration (see 3rd attachment), which could allow water to run into the cover. Just pull down slightly on the cover after you've pulled it over the cast and this will result in a convex "flange" around your arm and above the cast, as shown. Additionally, you can pull a sock over your cast to ensure that the fiberglass doesn't tear the rubber cover. I made a protective cover for my cast, out of a sock, which saved my clothing, furniture, steering wheel, etc. There are commercial options available for around $20 or you can sacrifice a pair of socks (or use that single sock whose mate was eaten by the dryer) and some "Fray Check". As to the comment about this being "clumsy"... (?!!!!) What can I say? You're in a cast and/or you just need a way to keep your arm dry; so yes, that's going to be inconvenient... I recommend this cover as a way to provide a water-tight seal of the affected area! Update 3/13/20: Initially, I ordered this cast protector because of it's low price (as previously noted). While I found it to be a well-made and effective product, I suggest that potential buyers shop around given the fact that the price has nearly doubled (from $8.98 to $16.98 in less than six weeks) since I purchased it in early February 2020. A quick review finds that there are less expensive alternatives of similar design out there.

Fit my daughters tiny arm perfect! It is completely waterproof.
My daughter had wrist surgery and a friend recommended this product to keep her bandages dry while bathing. It worked absolutely perfect and she has a tiny arm. It was very stretchy and easy to use which helped get it over her bandages easily without causing her additional pain. It was 100% waterproof. She said it was comfortable while bathing.

Works
I bought this after having carpal tunnel surgery and having my hand/wrist bandaged for 2 weeks. Works as stated. It is a bit hard to get on by myself trying to get it to fit over my surgical wrappings without causing a good bit of pain and once on, it is extremely tight around the top of the arm where it seals out the water. With all that being said, I will continue to use it because I was able to shower and keep my surgical bandages 100% dry and will use it again when I have my other hand operated on in a few weeks.

Easy on/off & great seal
My uncle of 81 broke his wrist. Being older we needed something that is easy to use and would not leak. This did the job. Easy on easy off and no leaks in shower.

I snorkeled with this sleeve
I already had plans to go to Playa del Carmen and worried I’d be stuck on the sidelines when I was told I couldn’t get my cast wet. I had been using trash bags and hair ties to shower with my cast, but some water/moisture got in even then. This device was a total game changer. Not only has my cast stayed dry in the shower, in Mexico, I could get in the water and submerge the sleeve fully in chlorinated and salt water. I didn’t try any real swimming strokes because I feared the pressure/speed might get things wet, but I was able to snorkel on multiple occasions without worry water would get in. I used the sleeve to paddle lightly and tread water floating in waves. I was able to have essentially the same vacation as those without a cast. Yes, it looks a little funny, but you’ll get past the stares. One woman even asked me how I found the sleeve because she was told she couldn’t go in the water because she had some kind of skin irritation. This is extremely water tight. The only times I feared was when it was higher on my elbow rather than lower on my forearm, allowing a small air hole. But even then I think more air got out rather than water get in. There was one time where my cast got a bit wet around my forearm. That was in a seaside pool in which waves literally crashes in on you. But you can hold your sleeve in the air to avoid any risk in those situations. And even then, it held up against literal waves for the most part. Pay the $15 and keep your vacation, or just make showering so much easier. The sleeve really is the best $15 I’ve ever spent.

Does whatnots supposed to do
I got this for my daughter when she had a cast on her arm. It worked great, easy to use, just slip it on. There were no leaks into the cast when she had it on. It fit perfectly on her. It was definitely worth the money and mush easier to use then taping a plastic bag on her.

Doesn't work for long
It started getting small tears in the hole that slips over your boot.. the third time I used it. They just kept getting larger every time I put it on

This is a fantastic item that helped me have stress free showers with a foot & half leg cast. It genuinely kept all the water out and the stretchy opening made it easy to put on over plaster. Definitely recommended.

Perfect solution to isolate your medical boot during shower. Its rubber neck is flexible enough to slide over the boot and set just below the knee.
