Birch Wood and Horsehair Mushroom Brush

This is such a quality product. The bristles are the perfect balance between firm and soft to clean the most delicate of mushrooms, the firmest mushrooms, and everything in between. I use in a high volume professional kitchen, in which i am cleaning 2-3 pounds of mushrooms a day, and it easily handles the work load!

I just received this. Love the size, the design, the natural bristles and I'm sure it will work well, but was very surprised at the rough finish (or un-finish) of the wood. For the price it should have been smooth as a baby's butt. I'm going to have to get some emery cloth or fine steel wool to make it right.

Excellent 'shrooming brush, truly. Love the handle, but I did spend a few minutes with some super fine sandpaper, and oiled it a couple more times to reduce some of the rough spots. Nothing to drop rating down, simply a question of I love super-smooth. Good construction on how hair is connected. I expect years of use if I manage not to lose it!

No mushroom I've dealt with had such a gently sprinkled fine dust, that this soft brush would be sufficient to clean. When you try to get rid of dirt, pine needles, etc. a regular tooth brush does a much better job.

I was happy to purchase this product and support a company that employs artisans that are visually impaired. That alone made it worth the higher price for the brush. I've seen mushroom brushes that cost a lot less. It works well to clean mushrooms and I recommend it.

The brush is very nice. However, a paper towel works better. The paper towel cleans better and does not fling the mushroom "dirt" around the kitchen.

This is the second time I’ve written a review about this little brush. I love it! Use it to clean mushrooms, either under running water or dry, depending on the type of soil or debris. The handle is perfectly balanced; perfect for “flicking off the dirt” without damaging the mushrooms. I bought this one as part of a housewarming gift for my son’s new apartment.

I love, love this product. I bought one for my ex-husband too and we both love it. It’s nice to drybrush the mushrooms clean. It really cuts down the time of cleaning your mushrooms. I first saw this product in phantom thread with Daniel Day Lewis. It seems very international. They’ve probably been cleaning their mushrooms in Europe like this for years. But of course were in the US. 🍄

It is just what I wanted.

This is a lovely thing to use. Whether you hold it like a pen or or with the end in the palm of your hand it just 'fits'. The hairs are strong enough to remove any dirt from the mushrooms but flexible enough to fit into all their crevices.Can't speak for durability yet, but am delighted with it so far.

Very disappointed a complete waste of money. It’s a daft expensive little brush .Save yourself money and buy a cheap little paint brush that would do the same job. It’s very poorly made and just is not worth the money.
