Chinese Style XL Gaiwan Tea Cup 220ml (Plum Blossom) by Gongfu Sado

Bought all three variations. Design is printed but high quality. Would buy again.

Great cup and with enough capacity to brew one large cup of tea. the painting and decorations are well done and so far it has worked great. will buy another one in the future.

Wonderful Gaiwan! Is larger for more tea to be brewed. That is good. I love it!!

Tea consumption

This Gaiwan is not 220 ml, its a bit smaller, I'll said about 180 ml to 200 ml

This particular cup is so nice that I've purchased it in several designs. I give them as gifts and they are well received. The quality is fantastic and they are packaged in a plain white box suitable for gift giving. The size is large for this style of cup, but that is exactly what I wanted. The designs are crisp and bright. All the parts fit together as they should (not always the case with other brands). The cup is neither too thick nor too thin; it is the right weight for the type, style and size of this particular cup. Since there is no gilding, this can go into the microwave if necessary.

It's just a nice big gaiwan. I can handle it with one hand if I'm feeling limber, but I often just use two hands with it. It's quite big for a gaiwan. You should be putting 10-16 grams of tea in here! If you are looking for a tea cup, that's not what this is.

I love this gaiwan. In person, it makes a little over 3/4 cup (6 oz or 180 ml) of tea. I was hoping for it to hit 8oz per steep like most tea serving sizes are here in the USA, but I still really like tea prepared in this gaiwan and would buy from Gongfu Sado again. It's great for daily single servings and makes it easy to steep high quality teas multiple times. I'll probably buy the bigger 250ml gaiwan next time for fun.
