Karen Campbell is a favorite of mine in the mixed media/art community! I appreciate all of the wisdom she shares AND how she communicates it in her books as well as her YouTube videos. She breaks information down into easily understandable and applicable steps for everyone - even beginners. Her exploration with the various different alcohol markers and the sharing of her gained experience (especially with Copic and Ohuhu markers) has been of great value to me. I purchased Ohuhu markers based on her advise and love them! This book has helped me improve my skill with them. I highly recommend ANY of her books!

I found a YouTube tutorial by Karen Campbell in my search for info on perfecting skin tones. I was so impressed with her skill and personality, I ordered her book, "Skin Tone Secrets." This is going to be (if not already) the holy grail for me in getting those skin tones right! Not only is the book easy to follow with enough info for beginners (who, me??!) and experts alike, but she is using the Ohuhu markers and those are what I have! Double bonus!! I now know Karen to be so generous with her free videos and lessons, but if you haven't gotten one of her books yet, hey, you might just be missing something in your life you need too!!

As someone who has always loved the control of a pencil and the look of black and white drawings, I was a little nervous to dive into the world of shading in color I couldn't erase! Plus, I had no idea which markers to get or which colors would go well together. Karen takes all the guesswork out of this process and holds your hand the entire way. I've had SO much fun playing with alcohol markers. They're something I never would've picked up and tried on my own. Now I absolutely love them, thanks to this awesome book and Karen's step-by-step videos!

The media could not be loaded.  I already have several of Karen Campbell‘s art instruction books and love them! So I was excited to order this one. This book is so good!!! Correct shading using markers can be very challenging, especially when it comes to a wide range of beautiful skin colors. This skin tone book by Karen Campbell is perfect, not only as a guide/teaching book, but a wonderful reference book. She has a fun, energetic and generous teaching style. And she didn’t hold back with this book! I LOVE it! Absolutely worth every penny.BONUS note: If you are not yet familiar with Karen Campbell‘s Awesome Art School, I highly recommend checking out her channels on YouTube. Every lesson is a fun time! ❤️

Another excellent book from Karen. I haven't met a KC book I didn't like. Her books are clear, easy to follow, and full of instruction to gain and/or polish skills. Then, wats to put those skills to use. Best teacher ever!

Look up her YouTube channel if you've ever wanted to draw and been told you have no talent. It's life changing. This book acconpanies her online videos and classes. It gives you the best shortcut for Ohuhu alcohol markers and can be used with other brands too.

I was so bad picking skintones and was close to giving up on ever getting good at drawing faces. This book changed all that. Karen is the greatest at teaching faces and the correct colors to use for every skin color. This book is like having a treasure chest of gold at your disposal. You will not be sorry with this purchase. And while you're at it....look her up at Awesome Art School. She is an AMAZING art teacher!!!

Karen Campbell’s books are always top notch and this one is no exception!! I was always scared of trying to do skin tones with alcohol markers, but this book makes it sooooo easy!! Her instructions are very clear and gives you all the information you need to use the markers like a pro. I can’t recommend this book enough and I know once you get a taste of her clear and fun teaching style you will be hooked!

I like this book. Karen Campbell covers all the information anyone could ever need to get good results with alcohol markers. All you need to do is practise.

A great accompaniment to the Arrtex markers, it’s easy to follow and helpful with figuring out skin tones

You can't go wrong with this book. This book explains everything you need to know about alcohol markers and skin tones. I also recommend her other books as well. This book is truly fabulous!!!

Now I will be even better at shading due to this amazing book. The illustrations in this book are so easy to follow. Love love it.
