Best natural deo ever
I have tried most natural deodorants, and tend to break out from certain ingredients, so have had trouble finding a non-irritating, effective deodorant. This is IT. It works better than my Lavanila (which was my previous favorite), and better than the sadly-discontinued Body Shop roll-on. No rash, no soreness, no discoloration, and NO SMELL after a day wearing a synthetic base layer and a sweater (which is ususlly when my natural deos fail -- not on warm summer days where my pits can breathe, but when everything is trapped in). Takes a few minutes to dry/soak in, but I can live with that, Also, has not stained my clothing (Primal Pit Paste works great for smells, but oil stains my bras...ewww).This doesn't keep me 100% from smelling at the gym (only Primal Pit Paste has worked that completely on smells...but again...terrible staining of clothing), but I can live with that. I shower after my workout, and it does keep the smell way, way down, so that's enough for me.One more tip that's going to sound preachy, but is just something I've noticed that you can take or leave: diet really, really affects how much your sweat smells. I go through periods of eating like a clean, nearly-vegan, no-processed-food champ and those of...really not doing that...and it's amazing how much it affects my smell level. I'm between extremes now, and this deo is working great for me.

Smelled good but that’s it
Worst deo I have ever used. Smelled fantastic (juicy bamboo) and went on smooth and clear but did not do what deo is supposed to do. Didn’t stop odor for loger than an hour and didn’t stop sweat one bit. It’s been a month and I was already dep free for a month before this and was better off not using anything.

Best Natural Deodorant for Sensitive Underarms
Finally I have found my natural deodorant. I tried one with baking soda and two days after I tried it I got a terrible rash that lasted for two weeks. Ever since then every deodorant, natural or conventional, has irritated my underarms after a month or so. I loved the concept of activated charcoal in a deodorant, so I took a chance on this one even though it is a bit pricey. I got the Juicy Bamboo scent. Which is not overpowering and is just a nice clean smell. I don’t know how to describe it. I had been using a natural deodorant without baking soda prior (that started irritating my underarms even after buying an underarm primer) so I didn’t really experience much of a detox aside from maybe a week of extra sweatiness. I live in South Florida and I would also consider myself a sweaty person but this deodorant works very well. Oh and I should also say I am postpartum and nursing and those hormones made me smell more than normal. I put it on after my morning shower and I rarely reapply during the day. Sure some days I can smell myself by the time it’s time for bed, but it isn’t bad and my husband hasn’t mentioned anything and that can happen with anything with the right circumstances. Best part is the large size has lasted me for four months and I have no irritation! Nothing red or inflamed or itchy. That alone is worth the price tag for me!

Pricey, but works.
Works well for aluminum free. Just wish it weren't so pricey. Also a bit crumbly.I am a singer who perspires a lot during performance, and even when not performing, it can be a challenge preventing pit odor without using either an aluminum-containing product or one with baking soda. Having ditched the Secret, I tried Schmidt's, which worked great for about a year. Then I started getting terrible, itchy, painful rashes. So either their chemical makeup changed, or mine did (they told me nothing had changed, and their customer service was excellent in offering possible solutions, but nothing we tried solved the problem). I next tried Herban Cowboy, which is fairly reasonable and was better than nothing, but still didn't work well enough.Based on reviews here, I tried the Takesumi. I ordered the small (.49 oz) size to start with, in the lime/mint.I did a side-by-side comparison: Herban Cowboy applied to one pit, and the new one on the other side. I immediately noticed a dramatic difference. This one worked much better, and lasted longer.Pros:-It does work for me. It worked from the first application, which differs slightly from what others experienced. I didn't have to wait; it controlled odor from Day 1.-It didn't irritate my skin at all. I started by applying baby powder first (cornstarch, not talc), but even without that protective layer, it's fine. Even right after shaving!-Smells ok, but the fragrance is very light. Almost non-existent.Cons:-It's expensive. The .49 ounce is small--like a tiny trial or travel size.-I found I had to be careful not to push it up too far in the tube, because it crumbles and/or breaks off entirely, necessitating my stuffing it back in and shaping it back into a stick. A couple of times I just took a pea-sized amount and smushed it between my palms, applying it like a cream deodorant.-This fragrance creates a sort of cooling sensation when applied, which can last a while, and it feels just a tiny bit weird. I don't personally mind the sensation of having minty-fresh armpits like they've just chewed on a Certs, but some people might. No idea if this happens with the other fragrances. All in all, despite the cost, I'll probably keep using this. I'd rather get something that works, even if it means paying more.I did knock off a star for that reason, though, and for the crumbly thing. But in fairness, the full size tube might not have the latter issue.Your results may vary!
