Great Value !
For 10 bucks you can't beat this. I received it and went right out and tapped two holes in my bike frame using the corresponding drill bit and then the tap. Work perfect. I don't know what these other whiners are talking about but for less than $10 this performed like a more expensive set. If you're handy you won't have any of the experiences of these other knuckleheads . . ,this is going down as one of the best buys on Amazon for me.

Worth it for a hobbiest
Needed a basic metric tap set. I do 3d printing and light work with soft metals. Much better than trying to create tolerance inside CAD for the hole. If it doesn't require a ton of force then screwing it in makes it much easier to assemble.

This DOES fit the smaller taps.
There are a lot of complaints about this not fitting the smaller taps, but there are TWO sets of teeth inside the handle (just have to push down further) and then you can use the smaller taps. There are no instructions stating so.

You get what you pay for
I purchased this kit because I needed a M5x0.8mm tap and associated drill bit and couldn't find those two items alone. This kit comes in a cheap plastic slide case which is nice for storage. Tool quality is mediocre at best, as I had to force the T-handle into the chuck to get it to fit the first time. After that it slides back and forth freely so I assume there was a burr left over from machining the hole that prevent it from working well initially. The chuck is pretty worthless and requires the use of vice grips or similar just to clamp down on the M5x0.8 tap, I suspect using the M4 or M3 taps would be quite difficult with this handle/chuck. The taps are of the plug type so starting holes can be a bit difficult and you're also not going to be able to thread all of the way to the bottom of a blind hole. It does the job, but it’s certainly not a high quality tool.

Not bad quality, not great, but very average
Average is good for me, it's exactly what I needed. I've used over a few dozen times already all successfully. Still sharp and going.Look, for the price you really shouldn't expect greatness, you should already kind of know what you're going to get.I will say these have been on the good side. Just go slow and straight and you are golden. They should get you through any job.

Don't buy - terrible
These are useless. I was trying to tap a M4 hole in some soft bronze, and couldn't even get the drill bit to bite to enlarge an existing hole. The tap was even worse: the tapered end of the tap was so dull that I couldn't get the tap to grab in the soft metal. Totally dull . And for the record, I know what I'm doing and regularly tap holes in steel and stainless steel. I used the proper cutting fluid and even used my own tap wrench which is of higher quality (the included tap wrench does work, btw - it has a multi-depth chuck to grip the smaller taps). I was hoping to have an inexpensive set of metric taps for occasional use but couldn't get a single use out of this. I recommend you look elsewhere.

Good little set
Bought these to help with builds on my 3d prints. Great for tapping holes in my builds. Have also used on some steel and aluminum parts. Works great.
