Essential for toddlers with broken legs (and helpful for others, too)
This booster seat has been a life-saver, or really... an arm-saver and a meal-saver for the past 6 weeks! My daughter (16 months) broke her leg and had to be put into a spica cast. The cast holds her legs in a funky position, so our normal high chairs, travel seats, and restaurant high chairs were impossible to use. We were left holding her for meals, which was frustrating for me and her; she hardly ate a thing. We ordered this booster seat and she was able to return to feeding herself. I could also set her down on this booster seat when nowhere else was comfortable. And, since it's so easy to pack, we were able to go back to restaurants as well. Now that my daughter is out of her cast, we're keeping this seat for travel & restaurants. It packs up compactly so it easily fits in the car -- I keep it there for those times when a restaurant high chair is broken, dirty, or simply unavailable. If your child is getting a spica cast, order this item and pay extra for fast shipping. It'll be worth it! Even if you don't need it for this reason, it's still a quality seat. The straps are easy to use, it inflates for added height & comfort, and the surface washes up easily.

LOVE LOVE LOVE
I have twin girls, When I would take them to a friends I would take my Bumbo seats/trays with me so I had somewhere to sit them to eat. Eventually they outgrew the Bumbos and I was either stuck holding them or had to drag my highchairs with me. Then a friend recommended these travel boosters when someone gave her one for Christmas. I looked into them and decided to give them a try. I LOVE them. They are not teeny tiny when folded up but are small enough to keep one in a baby bag, or carry both in a stroller. Maybe the size of a large, flat lunch box? I leave them both in the car. They have a carry handle and are lightweight. It only took a few breaths to inflate the bottom portion of the seat and was just as easy to deflate when it was time to fold back up. It strapped to the chair easily and was quite stable. It wasn't wobbley or anything. It strapped in tight....granted it was a square chair seat and back. Ideal. It was way more sturdy than I thought it was going to be. The base even though inflated with air is sturdy, solid and firm. The frame is not flimsy at all and the straps are nylon. The only two things I noticed: The seat is smaller than I thought it would be. I use them with my 14mo old twins who are also on the small side and they fit perfect. Unless they hit a massive growth spurt and work their way up the percentage chart I could see them using this booster well after 2yrs old. But again, they are on the slender, small size. The second thing is the seat has small crevices which are a pain to clean smushed food out of. I took note of this after the first use and now cover the seat with a tea towel before strapping in the kiddos. Overall - LOVE. I will definitely recommend to a friend.

Great Portable Solution, but Not Perfect
This is a really nice, portable solution for my 7 month old. It's not perfect, but with supervision (as most babies should be supervised when in boosters/high chairs), it works just fine. Pros: Super compact, easy to install on a chair and provides a nice little boost. We've used it at relatives' houses and restaurants that didn't have high chairs. So far it's been easy to clean and i like the little mesh pouch on the outside that I can throw an extra bib into. Cons: My 7 month old is super wiggly and active. He likes to twist and turn and lean over the side of chairs to look at what's on the ground or behind him. We know this about him, so someone is always next to him when he's in this seat. As other reviewers have mentioned, the straps are a little slippery and loosen too easily. Especially since my child moves so much, the straps loosen over the course of the meal. I don't have this problem with my larger ingenuity booster seat that we strap onto a chair at grandma's house. Overall, I'd still recommend this product, mostly for its portability and with the expectation that it's intended to be used for convenience and with supervision.

Best Baby Product!
This has been one of the best baby purchases I have made. It comes in handy in soooo many situations. It is simple to inflate and deflate, and it folds up to be super portable. This is excellent for travel. I don't need to worry about if there is a high chair at grandma's house, or if the restaurant we are eating at has booster seats. We are always prepared. I have a very squirmy baby, and this stays very stable on a variety of seating. I have even used it successfully with curved back seats.Very easy to clean. I would recommend this product for any child that is able to sit up independently. It will not provide support for younger infants like some high chairs do, so don't expect a miracle. Amazon also has a much better price on this than you can find at Wal-Mart. I believe I paid almost $10 less. I promise you will get your money's worth!

Perfect for Spica Cast
Like many other parents, we unfortunately had to enter the frustrating and inconvenient world of the Spica Cast. Our 19-month-old broke his Femur and had to be in one. Of course, he no longer fits in his high chair, and we don’t want to hold him every meal! We bought this travel high chair based on other reviewers who said it works well for Spica casts. Well they are absolutely right! It is the perfect solution. He fits in it nicely, and it straps to multiple types of chairs in our house so he can sit at our counter or dining room table. As a bonus, it works great at restaurants ... it’s been a total lifesaver finding a place for him to eat and even just sit and play! I’m sure it will be very useful even after he gets the cast off ... portable, comfortable, easy to clean. Great product!

OK for a back-up booster seat
The First Years On-The-Go Booster Seat,Safari is an OK, budget friendly, portable booster seat. We already have a booster seat from Fisher Price, but my husband insisted we purchase something more portable for our various international trips. After using the products for some time now, here are my thoughts: Portability – 5/5 Stars The booster seat is lighter, more compact, and, hence, definitely more portable than our Fisher Price booster seat. It folds into a nice compact shape (12" X 2.25" X 11") that we can either carry like a bag or put in our luggage without taking up much space. Ease of use – 3/5 Stars It's pretty easy to set up, yes; it self inflates in a couple of minutes (the direction says it may take a bit longer if it's the first time), and all you're supposed to do is attach two buckle straps around the seat cushion and back post. I had trouble getting the straps to stay tight enough. I don't know if it's the fabric as it seems pretty shiny and slick or if the loops on the buckle is too loose, but when my little one would move or wiggle slightly, it would loosen up the slack. I did not have this problem with our other booster chair. We found a solution by tying a knot, but I imagine this defeats the purpose of having the convenience of a chair that you can quickly and easily adjust to whatever chair you're using. Furthermore, I found that the chair had a slight design flaw. The Velcro hook (the rough part) strip is located at the bottom of the booster seat, so you can't place the seat on top of most chair that has a fabric cushion or cover without ruining the fabric. Ease of cleaning – 2/5 Stars The chair is made out of a fabric material that is easy to wipe and clean when it comes to tiny messes: a dropped chuck here and there. But I'd imagine something like tomato sauce would stain the fabric if you weren't able to clean it up right away. The instruction manual states that you should clean the chair with a damp cloth or sponge using mild liquid soap (and to never soak the product in water), which you don't always have readily available when you're eating out, for example. I also think that the crevices of the chair is a magnet for crumbs, but a good vacuuming and shake should take out dry crumbs...wet, squished chunks of food is another story... Safety - 2/5 Stars The instruction manual states that babies from 9 months up can use the chair, but I really wouldn't recommend this if your baby cannot sit up straight by him/herself yet. The chair offers little support and a baby who cannot sit up straight would definitely slump. Moreover, as the chair is flimsy with no side support, I also would not recommend this chair to a very wiggly child. As mentioned above, we had issues with the safety strap loosening when our little one would wiggle. LO is 18 MO and, in general, pretty good with sitting in his chair nicely still while eating, but I still would not leave him in the chair even to get something across the room. If he wanted to pick up something he dropped on the floor, for example, I don't think the waist straps has enough hold to keep him on the booster seat. Quality - 4/5 Stars Considering the price, I wasn't expecting something super fantastic, but I was hoping the buckle straps would be better. Otherwise, the quality is what I expect of this type of booster seat: it's portable, lightweight, but you sacrifice a bit of the safety and ease of use. In summary: This is an OK booster seat, especially for the price, just don't expect the booster seat to be a replacement for a high chair or to be used as your second high chair/booster seat (which we are doing with our Fisher Price booster seat at home). We are keeping this seat for our international travels and as a back-up/temporary solution for visits to places that don't have a high chair. Personally, I still prefer to use the high chairs provided by restaurants (unless, of course, if it's really dirty and gross).

Great for the restaurant
We used this seat for a few years for my kids. It gave them a few inches while sitting on the chair. Took it to restaurants often, it was easy to carry, just open the valve and it will inflate. Squeeze down and it will deflate

Great product, so compact and lightweight. Perfect for travel with a 2 year old.
Got this for my 2 year old son who is between 25-30 lb for an upcoming trip to Europe where high chairs aren't always available. I am so pleased I have found this! Lightweight and so much more compact than other (stable) portable booster seats that I have tried. Here's a quick comparison of products I've tried: First Years On-The Go Booster: My favorite choice for travel and portability! Fits easily into a stroller, very lightweight for the stability it offers. No tray. Offers about 4" of lift/boost, which is fine for a 2 year old, but may not be enough for children under 1 year. Cleanup isn't the easiest due to fabric construction - I can imagine spaghetti stains being hard to remove. Stows easily into many umbrella strollers. Chicco Pocket Snack Booster: Very stable and tray is useful for very little ones. Offers a lot of lift/boost. Very heavy and bulky for international travel. Hard to snap on tray. Barely stowed behind the seat of a Maclaren umbrella stroller. BenBat YummiGo Travel Booster Seat: Very stable and lightweight, however very bulky. Offers a lot of lift/boost. This is basically a large plastic clamshell box with a stiff fabric seat back and harness attached. Since we try to travel very light, this would take up a huge amount of rigid space within a carry-on suitcase, even if I filled the inside with other items. Packing is so inflexible with this that I have never brought it on a trip. Summer Infant Pop and Sit Portable Booster, Green/Grey: Doesn't offer much boost due to sag of the fabric seat. Tray doesn't slide close to child's belly, leaving a gap for food to fall into their laps. Kindof heavy, moderately compact. Very difficult to clean fabric. One of my least favorite designs. I misplaced it and don't even care!
