Is there an odor after application?

Did not detect any odor. I applied it in Feb. before the weeds began germinating. Had good results.

i don't see anything about coverage. It comes in a half gallon. How far will that go?

The bottle says 2000 square feet.

Can you spray it without a hose?

Not this version. It attaches to a hose and use water to distribute it. I suppose you could dilute it with water in a smaller spray bottle, but that doesn't seem like it would be worth the effort.
