Helpful resource for moving just your data
To be honest, I was looking for something completely different, but it does do a good job of describing the process of moving your FoxPro data to SQL.What I was hoping for are tips for adapting an existing FoxPro application once it's in SQL. For example, tips on converting FoxPro projects with thousands lines of unsupported features that use indexes, like SET ORDER TO (Index tag), SEEK, etc.For example your code may use something like this:USE MailingList ORDER LAST_FIRSTSEEK varLastNameSCAN WHILE LastName = varLastName DO SomethingENDSCANWithout direct access to indexes, you need to modify your code quite a bit of it will stumble on lines like that. I was looking for some shortcuts. In this particular case, you'll need to use a SQL command like this:SELECT * from MailingList order by Last_First into cursor TmpCursorSCAN Do SomethingEndscan
