これまで使っていた硬質樹脂製のフィルターは、軽量ですが冬場の静電気の埃付着が酷く、絞ると映り込むので毎回拭き取るのが手間でした。また逆光時に大量にゴーストが出たりで散々でしたが、Haidaは、望遠使用時の解像度の低下の問題もありません。同社のND0.9も購入しました。1.5は、満月を減光する目的で使っています。
