Good light read
Sometimes too unrealistic and over the top, but this was an easy and light read, even if some of the underlying issues were a bit heavy. Her husband is cheating on her with men, and her daughter has started getting into trouble at school, and Jane while she tries to hold it together and pretend enough that she can keep the lives of the people she loves afloat, especially her daughter, her sister, and her mother. If their secrets are exposed, she could become unable to continue supporting them in the same ways, so she’s stuck, and she’s just about had it. When she lashes out in an unrelated situation, everything starts coming undone. She makes some friends she wouldn’t have normally met, and her situation starts becoming harder to maintain. The last part of the story, seeing how things finally ended and having some surprises thrown in was nice, even if it seemed a little rushed how quickly everything happened and not entirely realistic. And, still, it made for a nice and easy read. Narration was also great.

Don't miss this one! So darn good.
From page one, See Jane Snap lures the reader with Jane, the amusingly overwhelmed main character. Between bolstering her husband’s career for the greater good, rescuing her debt-laden sister, worrying over her mother with dementia, or pacifying her defiant teenager, Jane balances life like a boss, but every woman has her limit.Jane faces her breaking point. In a desperate moment, she pilfers medication from a friend’s purse. While the medication doesn’t pan out to be the antidepressant Jane had hoped, it serves to fuel the bigger story. A trifecta of well-aimed oranges, a handsome cop, and court-mandated counseling send her down an enlightening trail, unwinding her façade, and revealing the true measure of her grit. Jane is the relatable and convincing superhero of her own adventure.Crandell’s expertly crafted scenes deliver belly laughs and authentic tenderness, framing Jane’s story with emotion and heart. On the heels of The Jake Ryan Complex, Crandell’s sophomore women’s fiction novel proves she has what it takes to deliver characters we’ll welcome into our lives.

Good Book
I wasn’t sure about this book at first. The main character is a bit snobby. But there are some really laugh out loud moments that helped my review. Also the take on anxiety is so accurate. Great read.

Amusing, entertaining, and engaging! (And I look forward to MORE from this author in the future!)
I honestly and thoroughly enjoyed this book! And I don't easily say that about any of the many, many books that I read, so it's high praise, indeed!!I just really liked the author's writing style, as well as the story, itself; there were subtle little plot 'twists and turns' throughout, which added interest, along with some "gotcha-type" moments that just sort of sneak up and will make readers 'think' (and from which they can learn a few "life lessons", as well!).Since this was the first time that I have read this author, I checked to see if she has written any other books (only 2 others that I could find), so I plan to read those, also; and then I will look forward to all other offerings that she might have in the future!Keep up the great work, Ms. Crandell!!! :-)

Sarcastically witty humor at its best
For every woman who's juggled chaos amid fake friends or ridiculous colleagues, this book is for you. You might just find yourself laughing out loud at Jane's internal dialogue as she navigates her messed-up life toward finding herself in a world without the lies she's been living.

Unusual but good
This would be a terrible situation to be in however, the writer did share some rather humorous stories. I thought the ending was great!! A wife and mother are expected to handle way more life than you can imagine.

Engrossing
I realize there are plenty of women who still choose to be stay-at-home wives and mothers but 99 % of the female characters in this book didn't have nor had ever had any kind of career apart from being married and that eventually became fairly distracting. Not to mention the lead's slavish devotion to being an absolute Stepford Wife made me not entirely care for her. Despite all this I was still very involved in the action and eager to follow it all through.

Where was her rage over intimacy?
I loved the concept of this book. I liked reading the book. I felt like the ending was more artificial than it should be and a "hallmark movie moment", which took it a bit off base for me.Thinking about the book a couple of days later I wondered where was the discussion of intimacy and how she felt about him making love to her for 20 years while also making love to his lovers. She didn't talk a out that particular aspect of betrayal at all. I think that alone was worth a rage bout yelling, screaming, throw more things. The betrayal was huge on so many fronts. I just noticed the author glossed over that particular front and felt that was a wasted opportunity.

A good fun read
A fun and simple read, nothing too taxing but definitely entertaining. I enjoyed this way more than I expected to and have been up half the night just to finish it. Not a literary great but sometimes a good read doesn't need to be, the strengths were in the characters who were quirky and interesting and the drama which was a little far fetched but I loved it.

Not that gripping
I read the whole book but only because I'm tenacious, it wasn't a page turner for the most part. There were moments of good writing, I enjoyed the unlikely friendships that Jane formed. Always like a happy ending, however predictable.
