The book is well-written! It is easy to read and thoroughly states the rsearch importance and the methods one can use in doing one's research. It is systematic and instructive. It can be used as a guide book or reference book for research.

is what this book felt like. It makes the "medicine" of something seemingly difficult and boring like research seem accessible, understandable, practical, and even fun!This is the older edition available for a price that doesn't cost as much as tuition. Still very relevant and useful.

I had to use this textbook for a master's class in educational research. Compared to my professor, I thought this book was really helpful. Compared to other textbooks, I still felt it a little confusing at times. It throws a lot of vocab at you, but it does include some interesting sample research articles. This, I think, is a real strong point of the book. It's nice to be able to look at real examples of research without needing to access a research database.All told, I would say this does the best it can to make a really boring subject somewhat interesting/understandable.

Easy to follow, great examples, and practical methods that can be seen in daily life. It is a big book but can become a great reference for understanding the foundations of research - without the stress!

I had access to this text on line but it wasn't working out for me. Turning pages back and forth while looking for information needed to complete the papers I was writing is so much easier with the actual book. It was what I needed.

I ordered this book for a class and later found out I didn't need to take the class. I'm keeping it as a reference book. I read the first chapter and thought it sounded like a review. (Then I discovered that the university accepted my credit for the same class from my masters.) The writing was clear and informative and the layout was helpful. Lots of good charts and graphs as I remember.

A top notch textbook for the Curriculum design field. My husband bought it after he graduated so he would still have access to it and be able to use his textbook whenever he wanted. He uses it at least once a week.

If you must do research in Scholarly manner, this is a good guide. The Dr. in the Masters program uses it as a great addition to research methods.
