Easy to setup and install. Good results
The casing of the camera looks and feels robust. The lens, sensors and solar panel all came with protective covers that I peeled off. Then setting up this camera was straightforward. After charging the internal batteries using the USB cable I put in some rechargeable AA batteries and the 128GB SDXC card, slid the power switch to the "setup" position and powered it up. I knew from the product info that I needed a class 10 card so it formatted with no issue.Out of the box there are two ways of mounting the camera - a metal bracket than can be screwed to a tree or fencepost allowing the camera to be positioned at different angles, and a long strap that slips through tabs on the back of the camera body and then wrapped around a tree. Those same tabs are really strong so I passed a cable tie through them so I could mount it onto my fruit cage. Once mounted it revealed a feature I hadn't thought about but think is good - the catches on the body can be opened and body which is hinged on to the back can be swung open to reveal the internal controls and the SD card. This can be done while the camera is in place on its mount so you don't need to take it down. Results so far have been good. I set mine to maximum quality for both video and picture. You can choose whether to take pictures, videos, or both. I haven't got many wildlife shots but I have managed to snap the dog wandering around the garden in both the day and night. The sensitivity of the motion detectors seems good as it caught the dog moving at the far side of the garden - about 10 metres away. The night time shots are (obviously?) in black and white, but the resolution/quality doesn't seem to be compromised and you can zoom in to see a decent amount of detail. The phone app, which is installed via a QR code on the inside of the camera back, allows you to configure the camera and retrieve captured footage. The app uses bluetooth to establish an initial connection and then switches to a private wifi link. Range is supposed to be limited, but I am able to connect each morning from inside the house in the room closest to the camera. Using the app I set my camera to only record between 10:30pm and 7:00am - times we are typically not in the garden. As previously mentioned I set maximum quality and a video length of 30 seconds. The app interface is pretty clear with a live view, controls to allow you to take pictures or videos, setup the camera, or most commonly for me go to the SD card and see what has been captured. Photos and videos are presented separately as small icons and you click one to view it. Obviously there's a bit of lag while a large video is retrieved from the card and transmitted to the phone. There are download buttons to save the photo/video to your phone's camera roll (and then cloud sync to my laptop for better viewing), or to delete, and you can perform mass actions by selecting multiple photos or videos. It's all pretty intuitive.I haven't owned a wildlife camera before and to be honest I'm a little disappointed about the lack of overnight action in my garden, but despair not as I have access to a community veg & fruit garden that's plagued with rabbits and deer, so I'll be putting it up there in a few days.

Reliable and feature-packed wildlife camera
The VOOPEAK Wildlife Camera has been a fantastic addition to my outdoor gear. I’ve been using it to monitor the wildlife around my property, and the results have been impressive. The 46MP resolution captures incredibly detailed photos, and the 4K UHD video at 30fps makes the footage look smooth and professional. One of the best features is the built-in solar panel, which has saved me from constantly changing batteries. Even in low light, the night vision captures clear and sharp images, so I never miss any nocturnal activity.Setting up the camera was straightforward, and the WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity made it easy to access footage directly from my phone without having to disturb the camera. The motion detection is highly sensitive, ensuring that I capture all the action without a lot of false triggers. Plus, the IP66 waterproof rating has proven to be reliable in various weather conditions, from heavy rain to dust. Whether you’re a wildlife enthusiast or just want to keep an eye on your property, this camera offers the perfect blend of convenience, durability, and high-quality performance.

Great quality, great value wildlife camera.
I have used a wildlife camera for a couple of years for recording Foxes, Hedgehogs, etc. who visit our garden and although I have been generally happy with the images, the batteries do need recharging every few days. So I decided to look for a solar powered replacement.I looked at the various options and the one I decided was the VOOPEAK Solar Wildlife Camera - 46MP 4K UHD 30fps WiFi Bluetooth Trail Camera with Night Vision.I have to say that right off the bat it was easy to set up and start using. All I really needed to do was charge it in the sun for a while and it was good to go.I can only comment on my own experience, but the image quality is excellent for images and video. Both were well lit, sharp and clear, and to be honest so far I can't fault it.So, to summarise, easy to set up and use, the build and image quality are as good as wildlife cameras twice the price of this little gem, so value for money is a gimmie. And the cheery on the cake, no more battery changing! :)

Great wildlife camera (static)
Very solid wildlife camera...Ordered as we have a deer trail running behind our property and would love to see these guys out there...Design is ace, the mount is high quality, sturdy and easy to adjust the angle, we have some trees to fell at the moment so I have set this up in a temporary location with the simple strap provided in the box.I haven't managed to get any pictures yet as I have not got the position quite right, needs to be lower! But the app is pretty good, the photo and video quality are good and the rechargeable battery is perfect! I did put in the AA batteries as suggested, I would imagine they will last a lifetime though!!Highly recommended and good quality photos and videos as well!!

Solar power removes the hassle of batteries!
I have used several of this style of camera over the years, but they've basically all needed batteries, so having a small solar panel built directly into the top means if the unit gets enough sunlight (not covered by leaves, etc), it can last potentially indefinitely based on usage! It is super easy to set up (both physically and connecting wirelessly), and the capture quality itself is perfectly usable for amateurs/hobbyists like me :)
