While made of a different material, it appears to be identical to the original remote. The new material does feel a bit cheaper, is definitely lighter and likely brittle, but I'm not worried about it because I'm not rough on my remotes. The screen printing of the button functions is slightly askew and one or two don't say the exact thing, but I don't really look at the remote, I've had this blu-ray system for several years now and have memorized what I use on the remote. Really happy with finding a cheap replacement.

This remote worked with my Sony Receiver which is over 15 years old. A little manual of instructions would have been most helpful.

We have two Sony surround systems in the house (it's a shame they discontinued these) but it runs either one just fine, no more running up and down the steps with the remote!

Great replacement. Works as original. Just put new batteries and use it.My original ones volume control stop working. I kept changing batteries. Didn't help. Tried to clean it. Opened several times cleaned it really good. Didn't help. So decided to get new one. Got this one to give a try. Worked great. Now don't have any problems.

It works! The volume button only worked off and on with my old remote and the mute didn't work at all. I'm really pleased to have a working remote again! This is a replacement remote for our Sony Bluray player.

Installed batteries and works perfect. Text on the remote isn’t placed as well as the original but who cares?
