This is exactly what I was looking for to hold the large quantities of rice we go through. I'm contemplating getting a few more for various types of rice we eat, but there are some issues. The top cover was warped when we got it and wouldn't close. It's relaxed a bit since then and closes better, but I need to come up with a way to adapt it for a better seal. Currently I use plastic wrap over the top and then place the lid, but it's fiddly and not very attractive.The measuring cup is a bit of a joke. I rinse my rice, but those holes were too small and too few, and many of them were plugged--useless for straining, but they still make the cup leak. More humorously, it came marked in two places for volume--and they vastly disagreed with each other, and were both wrong. It fits well under the dispenser, though, and I don't need it to hold water to measure rice, so I simply filled it to intervals and used a permanent marker to draw long lines for 2, 3, 4, and 5 go (standard rice measurement used by my Japanese rice cooker). The rice comes out quickly and smoothly, making it easy and quick to fill, even if I have to stop and shift the cup to smooth for measurement.
