The black eyeletsbare too big and rigid for the metal strap slotson the G-100.The product seems very sturdy and like a good value otherwise.

I like to use my camera without a strap sometimes. Without even those dangly buckles for snapping straps on and off. This gadget is the best solution I’ve found. It’s not cool, or stylish or sexy looking but it works. So far it never self-detached which son snap-links can do. Weighs almost nothing but is stronger than it looks ( Op-Tech claims holds 100 lbs).Note: Because of the bend in the wire you may not be able slip it through the slot or hole that are part on many cameras. Instead use the spilt ring (or split triangle) between the camera and this device.

I struggled to get the plastic tab loop through my new SL3 camera's strap loop until I used a thick piece of string and really yanked on it. Once it was on, I started shooting. My camera kept turning off. I quickly figured out that the strap connector was doing it. See attached photo and video.The SL3 has the camera strap loops inset into the body, so the plastic tab is forced into a curve that then pushes the swivel right up against the power switch. The video shows how easily this can cause the switch to rotate.

Good fit with my Cannon camera. Serves its purpose.
