Costa Rica produces full rounded arabica beans, known for their spiciness and a long sweet finish, reminiscent of caramel, chocolate and citrus notes. A paradise for vacationers, the volcanic region is rich with its soil ideal for a world class arabica bean. In fact, it is the only country in the world which disallows any other bean except the finest arabica in its rich, volcanic soil and high-altitude climate. With so many bean varieties in so many micro climates, with expressions of many expert roasters, Cafe Britt in Costa Rica has a menu that reads like a wine list. We are happy to bring you one of the finest arabicas from Costa Rica, one glimpse of the expansive world of coffee out there. Who knows, one day you might make it there!

Old batch
I bought some of these coffee beans from this roaster which they have sourced from Guatemala , Brazil , Colombia and another Central American country which I can’t recollect. Yet to open their pack of Ethiopian coffee. Anyhow I was excited as I have drunk coffee in Java city on Lavelle Road ages ago, highly disappointing coffee beans to say the least as I ground it with my Rancilio Rocky grinder one day and another day with my Baratza Sette.I believe it’s oxidised and they have packed some old coffee beans which have been roasted two years ago. Even coffee beans that I have roasted in chikkamagalore one year or 18 months ago tasted better and gave a better aroma. Surely these are old roasted beans and couldn’t even get any aroma when I opened the pack or ground it , there wasn’t any taste after pulling an espresso shot with my gaggia classic pro on many occasions. Even if it was Rs.250 per 250g ; I wouldn’t buy it, estate monkeys roast better coffee than artisanté !!

Delicious coffee
I was looking for coffee from different brands and came across Artisante. I was pleasantly surprised to the quality of the coffee. It's very smooth and creamy and a delight. I've only given it a 4 star because they don't have a roast date on the packaging. Except for that minor issue I would definitely recommend.
