Best Harness Ever
If your dog escapes collars and other harness you're going to want this one. I have a wiener dog that's barrel-chested and has a small neck. He's escaped a couple of times by backing out of his collar, so I decided to do some research and decided to try RuffWear. I know with dachshunds it's harder to find harness that fit because they have noodle bodies and tiny little legs, making it easy to slip paws out from anything they're put into. I got the XS for my 22" chesty-boy. I had contemplated the S but glad I went XS, it fit him perfectly. You slip it over the head and underneath one arm, then snap and snap! The clips are easy to adjust around the neck, chest, and on the sides. Customizable for all weirdly shaped dogs (mine also has lumps on his undersides and chest, so I had to account for those, too). He wears it incredibly well and has not escaped yet! The material reminds me of heavy duty backpacking gear, so it's meant to last through some heavy wear and tear. The handle is also an addition I love for my oldie. Walking up stairs isn't very easy when he's wearing any form of harness or gear, so the handle is nice to help assist him in making it up the steps. AND it's incredibly nice to be able to reach and grab it to stabilize him when he's barking at people walking by. If you've ever tried to grab a dog when he's trying to scare off a stranger you know how wiley and thrashy they get. This gives you the upperhand, and it doesn't harm them at all to hold on or pull them back. The last thing I need is a new ID tag to put onto it, as it doesn't sit well with a collar (as shown in picture, it's a bit bulky at the neck). I would recommend this one to everyone!

Great quality harness, highly recommend
We have been searching for years for the perfect harnesses to keep our dogs safe, the Ruffwear web master is fabulous! We have a 110lb Bullmastiff, and 2- 12lb mini Dachshunds. Our one little girl is a houdini, very active and has always been able to wriggle out of regular harnesses to chase squirrels and what not. The little puppy has a very long body and his chest protrudes quite a bit, it's been a challenge to find a harness that fits him well. The big girl is a moose, very strong and very difficult to control when she is excited, and equally difficult when she is stubborn and doesn't want to move! Unbelievably, we have found the perfect harness for all 3, each for very different reasons. Having 2 straps, one under the rib cage and one under the belly, makes a huge difference; almost impossible to wriggle out of if adjusted properly. They have a video on the Ruffwear website that gives detailed instructions on how to adjust correctly. Very durable and well made, there are 5 different adjustment points. The handle comes in handy when you need that extra control, and also assists with picking up the dachshunds! I highly recommend this product, it costs a little more, but so worth the peace of mind....oh, and the harness is also very comfortable for them. INo problem putting on or taking off. And not needing a collar around their neck is also a plus!

Perfect for escape artists! These run smaller than expected.
We adopted a new dog, a rescue who we were told might make a break for it if given the chance, so we bought her a Ruffwear Web Master just like we did for previous dogs. Measuring her said that we should get XS but as we already had a Medium and it was close to fitting, I went ahead and bought the S as well. The XS was too small but the S fit perfectly. Same happened before, with another dog who should have fit into an M but took the L. All that said, I love these harnesses! Sturdy, comfy, and so far escape proof on three different dogs. Our Australian Cattle Dog/Husky mix was secure, our Catahoula was secure, and our newbie Aussie mix is secure. The Husky mix knew every slick trick in the book when we adopted her, so she was already an accomplished escape artist in harnesses, but not the Web Master. Highly recommend! Oh, and these stand up to the test of time. Very well made. I'm not sure how they are supposed to be washed, but I soak them in the bathtub with soapy water, and take a washcloth and give them a good onceover with the soapy water. Then rinse and hang to dry. I've never seen one show visible dirt, I was cleaning all of our dog paraphernalia in anticipation of a new dog. They do float in the tub, so to soak them I weighted them down.

Non escapeable harness
So I have a springer spaniel who is about 45 pounds who goes crazy barking at cars and who thinks she’s a horse when she’s on a walk because she wants to pull you down the street I bought this harness for her because I was tired of being polled. I was tired of her barking cars doing three sixes going insane so I researched and I looked for a harness that would help me control the app And I researched about getting one with a belly strap and this thing is the best harness and she is comfortable in it she wears it all day all night and it’s like a security blanket to her now because she wears it all the time because we get up at 5 AM to take the dog out. We take her out at 11 PM for her last time , so she needs some thing that she’s comfortable in. We also bought one for my in-laws escape artist jack Russell terrier. Their dog has gotten out of every single harness and taking off down the street so with this new one she can’t do that and she’s pretty pissed, but it keeps our dogs safe and we don’t have to worry about them now, and I even got a little light that makes my dog look like Christmas ornament for the little light notch on the back of the harness And she loves it. I had to use a key ring for my keys to put the light on because I bought one that didn’t have the larger Carbonear clip. She likes that much better because I used the back handle to hold her like she didn’t like it touching her for so anyway this is the best harness. If you’re looking for one and you have some crazy dogs get this it’s worth it .
