One year later, still holding up. Great solution dor heel holes in carpet. Thin enough to flex and match contour of floor, durable enough to last, looks good and does not detract from the stock appear ance of my 26 year old car. I ded have to get longer screws due to carpet thickness. Used a truss head and thin fender washer otherwise screws pull through carpet.

Cheap and nasty

No installation instructions were included in the package. Thr screws are short and small. The quality of the materials seems decent.

Reviewing: kashaipu Stainless Steel Plate Carpet Mat Universal Driver Car Auto Interior Floor Mat Patch Foot Heel Pedal KitI installed this on the floor mat of a 2000 Ford F150 as follows; I positioned the plate on the front of the mat where I wanted it then pressed hard with one hand while finding where the screw would need to be for one of the holes on the back of the mat and used that as a starting point. My mat had lines on the back so it was easy to make sure it was straight. From the back of the mat I punched holes using an ice pick, then poked the screws through the holes and tightened them to the plate.In a vehicle with an automatic transmission where you are only using one foot to drive this plate works well. It covers the spot where your heel digs into the mat or carpet. However, I think it would be too narrow in a vehicle with a clutch where you are using both feet and your clutch foot would be on the edge of the plate. I do wish it were a little thinner, but it isn't annoyingly thick.Overall, easy to install, looks decent and works well to stop your heel from digging a hole.

This is sturdy thing, but much smaller than it needs to be to cover or prevent worn carpet under the pedal area. The dimensions were given in cm not inches. Americans don't use metric system routinely, and either I misread or miscalculated its size. I did not install it, but it looks like it would be hard to fasten down securely. If this were bigger, and had a good solid way to fasten it (stronger than the 6 small screws provided) it would probably be a very useful product.
