Excellent candy!
This is the best candy! Found it whilst visiting Eureka Springs, AR at a candy shop and was thrilled to see Amazon carries it! Try it out!

Japanese candy for tea, yes please! These are great for tea and I am honestly questioning my sanity because I should have been buying these years ago. It gives just the right amount of sweetness to tea without the heaviness of accidentally spilling extra table sugar out of that ridiculous spoon I'm using. I can just plop in 2 of these and its done!I don't drink sugar in my coffee but wanted to try this in it just to see what would happen and it was fine. Too sugary for me in the coffee but in the Tea, YES!Excellent buy, great pricing and came sufficiently packaged with not issues.

Same Thing as a Sugar Cube
It's the same taste, texture, and experience as sugar cubes. At first, it's an interesting star hard candy, but after a minute, it breaks apart into the sugar granules it's made from. At the end of the day, you're eating a literal spoonful of sugar.

Its konpeito but that's all really
This is the most basic konpeito when it comes to what's available aside from the size which is larger than average. No taste, it's basically rock candy / sugar cube with no flavoring. My expectations were already at that level but what gets a star taken off is the color. For what is shown on the product page versus what you get its washed out trading bold coloring for light pastels. Konpeito is considered a table top candy which can have a displayable presence. They are not too tough to chew in and not too brittle either and as for the cost per ounce it's not a bad deal but what you're getting is just formed sugar in a pleasing shape and subpar colors.

Sweet treat
Me and my brother loved them. They remind us of when we were kids.

Not what I expected.
I actually got something similar to this from Japan as a souvenir. They were smaller and each color had a different flavor. These, however, were larger, and each of them just tasted like straight up sugar.
