Beautiful solid-like, gold color with just right contrasting. Feels like real with tight to skin hairs. Haven’t washed (just received) but it feels like it will take brushing very well. Good weight but is thin.

Good "fake" hide rug!
Very pleased with this fake hide rug. Up close of course you can tell it is fake but from somewhat of a distance it looks great! Moved my son into a new apartment and gave him our old footstool/coffee table. Of course it wasn't very masculine and also the color was not great but heck, it was free. So I found this on Amazon and it worked perfectly to cover the gold color. I first ordered the smaller size and it was way too small but kept it for a bathroom rug. This larger size was much better for what we needed and really only a few dollars more than the smaller rug. Very soft and I'm hopefull it will hold up. Very pleased with this purchase!!

This is printed. There is no faux fur.
Everything about this rug is probably great, except for one thing. It is very soft, it seems like good quality. However, if you're looking for faux fur, this isn't it. This is a fur pattern that is printed onto soft/smooth material. To me, it looked really fake if you're not looking at it from far away. Just a heads up! I ended up returning it to get something with actual faux fur.
