Having fallen down the stairs and broken my foot when my spring fit metal gate fell off the top of my stairs taking me with it, I felt a fabric gate at the bottom was a safer choice. Because of the position of the skirting opposite my bottom stair newel , a normal metal gate was tricky to fit. This one is perfect and so easy to fit and folds out of the way when you don't need it. Really recommend

Cheap and flimsy
Waste of money, instructions don’t match the parts supplied.Very flimsy, kids and dogs can squeeze through easily. And looks ugly once installed.

It has solved a big problem
For ages I have wanted to be able to open a door without my dogs escaping. This gate has done the job very well and I am so pleased. Being retractable has just made it perfect.
