My spouse and I have always bought our own individual pillows. We've tried getting the same ones, but in those instances, one of us has always been displeased and went out and bought a different one before long. Somewhere in the line of our many pillows, I have to admit, he ended up with the better pillow. I'd sneak it from time to time, and it turned into a friendly game of pillow tug-of-war. But, finally, I had enough, and set out to get my own awesome pillow. Not only did this pillow fit the bill, but I can now assuredly say that I have the best pillow, because he has begun stealing mine. I have never gotten poked by a stray feather, but I do have a nice, thick, satiny pillow case. The quilting on the pillow seems plenty thick, though, too. I really like the quilting, because it's how I make sure it's actually my pillow and he hasn't switched it on me. The pillow is nicely stuffed, and while I thought it a little firm at first, after just a few weeks it wore in nicely and it's now absolutely perfect. I tend towards stomach sleeping, but spend a lot of time on my back reading, and also sleep on my side. It's nice in every direction. I can't live with just one pillow, so I also bought the Z® by Malouf 100% Natural Talalay Latex Zoned Pillow. It pairs VERY nicely with this one. I have a feeling that very shortly, we're going to end up with the same pillows finally, because he's going to get tired of stealing mine! He's sort of hinted a few times that his birthday IS coming up...

This is an excellent down pillow. It is densely stuffed with down, yet flexible enough to adjust to my head and neck. The result is that I have enough support to properly balance my neck, and yet not so much support that it leaves my neck in an uncomfortable position (which was the problem with my previous pillow). Since using this pillow, the quality of my sleep has improved dramatically. Also, the the covering material of the pillow appears to be of very high quality; so, I expect the pillow to last a long time.

This is a quality made down pillow... it is almost too full/firm. Seems over-full with the down, but still comfortable enough I'm not going back to a poly filled pillow. Hoping with time it will settle out a bit.

This is a high quality pillow and I understand why people like it, but it's not for me. The cover is very thick and probably very durable. The pillow itself is pretty stiff and a bit on the hard side. I prefer something softer and more pliable. I ended up buying the Royal Hotel's Goose Down Pillow, which is exactly what I was searching for.

my husband was so excited to get this pillow.... three days later it was abandoned on the side of the bed.. he said he felt like he was being suffocated by two blocks of cement.. I tried the pillow myself... 3 days I used it and each morning I woke up with a massive headache.... my son who is 6 decided to try it next... too hard he says haha.... however it makes a great pillow to lean up on when you are watching TV in bed as it is hard and sturdy.... ultimately I feel like I wasted my money I'm just glad I only bought one.

First of all, this is a pillow. You can't really take anybody else's opinion in place of yours. So, for that matter, you pretty much had to ignore all the reviews, but here is my opinion none the less.I LOVE feather pillows. I'm military and have been for 17 years. Long ago I was issued a couple of the white with blue stripe feather pillows and they have lasted about 10 years (5ea). It was time to replace my last pillow and I knew I wanted something like what I had.I'm currently in Korea, while there is probably quite a few places to find what I'm looking for, I've trusted Amazon (and there isn't a language barrier!) I purchased the "regular" size pillow and wish I had gotten the next size up, but I'm really impressed. It came shipped in a thin/flat box and the pillow fluffed up promptly, I purchased a cover (not really needed but trying to prolong the life of this pillow). No little feather pokes (like my old military ones did).I sleep on my stomach with the pillow under one arm and over my other arm, this pillow has enough bulk to meet my needs. I do wish I got the next size larger and kept a regular size case (and cover) to add a little more bulk.Well as I stated, this is my opinion. Do my needs meet yours? I am happy with my purchase but I like big pillows and the weight and construction is exactly as I had hoped.Corey

Love the firmness of this pillow. I have tried so many pillows looking for the perfect one to give me a great night's sleep. Finally I have found it. This pillow does have duck down, but if you put on the hypoallergenic cover you do not get the feather quills poking thru. Fluff this pillow and get ready for an awesome night of sleep!!! This pillow now travels with me to hotels, family & friends...

100% Duck Feathers. Firm. Good for throw pillow, but not to sleep on. Description said down/feathers mix which was NOT true. I guess I'm buying my next pillow in store so I can verify the content.
