WOAFLY Magnetic Charging Waterproof WiFi Remote Control for GoPro Smart Camera Controller

This works perfect for me. I used this with a GoPro Session 5. I used to constantly have 10-20 seconds at the beginning and end of my videos where its just me walking away after being setup. With the remote I can just set the GoPro down and walk away, pressing record when I'm ready. I tested the range first thing after pairing it. I was able to walk to different rooms in the house (doors and walls between, maybe 25 feet) and it had no problem staying connected. Thus I have no doubts about the claimed 100m range in a cleaner RF environment such as outside in a field or something.I didn't update the firmware or check if there are updates available because the one it shipped with seems to be working perfect to me. Changing between picture/video/burst mode using the remote worked as I would expect. The remote has a status LED to show which mode you are in which is great because if you're using a remote the GoPro is probably too far away to read.Pairing was dead simple, I just went to Connection->Add new->GoPro RC and turned the remote on, they found each other and paired in about 5 seconds.The coolest feature of all (besides the obvious of starting recordings remotely) though is that when you turn the remote on, the GoPro also turns on automatically, same with shutting it off. No worries that the GoPro will go into standby just as you're about to hit record. Also lets you save some power by putting it into standby between shots.

I previously had the GoPro Smart Remote and I purchased the WOAFLY Magnetic Charging Waterproof WIFI Remote Control as a replacement for my GoPro Hero 4. The WOAFLY remote is half the price and works just as good, if not even better. It comes in a nice packaged box with simple instructions. The connection was really simple and connected right away. No extra steps of going into your phone preference or an app. Go to your setting on your GoPro and look for remote and it connects. Controls are easy to navigate through. The only con that I would give it is that is doesn't fit my GoPro stick. It is slightly larger than the original GoPro Smart Remote. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a GoPro remote. Gotta say this is a great remote! It is so simple and easy to use. My favorite feature has to be the highlight tag that I setup with the star button, that lets you keep track of moments that are important in a recording. The remote is also super simple to get connected to your GoPro. For me I just simply turned on the cameras Wifi, then turned on the remote, and they connected to eachother. It came securely packaged in a box with bubble packaging that kept the inner box safe. In the box were complete instructions on everything you need to know about the remote, a sturdy strap to mount the remote on your wrist, a magnetic charging cord, and the remote itself. Overall this is a must have accessory for anyone that owns a GoPro camera that is compatible. GREAT BUY!

The build quality on this thing is awesome! Great purchase at this price. The buttons are touch which is nice. I was really surprised at the packaging and quality of the remote. its a great accessory to have for your GoPro.

decent remote, lightweight and useful especially for session users, easy to bind to my session and worked flawless, only gave 4 stars as it needs to be rebound every time you turn it on. video review attached below

This product works very well. I find that the main functionality that I like is the ability to remotely turn the GoPro on and off without using voice commands. This can be used to save battery as well as be discrete during concerts or shows with the beeper turned off.The light colors are a little complex but easy to learn after a few minutes of playing with it.

Easy to use and very clean looking.Price is right.

Works better than the original/official GoPro remote!
