This is pretty much more of the same in the series, it is aimed at the same age group, but takes lessons that little bit further. Now, although this book is EAL (English as an Additional Language) and catered to those who's primary language isn't English, it is still a very good resource for those who's first language is English. That is, this book is very useful for any kid learning the language. The blurb claims the book is for those aged between 6 and 11 years of age, but this is a HUGE range to cover, and checking out the contents, I feel that a lot of it, if not most of it is too advanced for anyone younger than, say, 8 years of age. There's stuff in there that we didn't cover when I was at school. Sure we did verbs, adverbs, pronouns, and all that good stuff, but we certainly never did prepositions and the like. The pages of the book are decent for writing notes on, and, the book is present as diverse and reflective of society today, i.e., it isn't stuck in the 80's. Best of all? There's an online portion to this book which is extremely helpful in terms of pronunciation .

A fantastic book to accompany your childs English lessons.

This is Workbook 3 in the Primary EAL series of English for ages 6-11. My daughter is a teaching assistant in Spain and finds these books to be one of the best to use with her children. The English competency builds up throughout the book, and once complete the child is ready to move on to the next book seamlessly. The books are designed to be used as a teaching aid with support from a teacher or parent and not a workbook to give to a child so they can work through independently. They are useful for parents who want to support their children's learning but don't know what to do - just buy one of these books, is the simple answer! They are good value for money and I and my daughter highly recommend them for any child learning English.
