In the words of Johnny 5 from Short Circuit, this book is full of input. 10 yr old son loves have all this information at his fingertips. And though its a hefty book that doesn't make a great bus reading book, he carries it with him every chance he gets. "Hey Mama, did you know.....?" with every page turn. Lots of graphics, timelines are great, information explodes off the page and he happily absorbs it all.

Bought for my great grandson and after it was delivered I paged through the book and I was impressed with the contents. Gave it as a Christmas gift! Now I just have to get him to read it.

It is the best science book in time order!

Got this book for 10 year old boy that loves science. From the beginning of things to do with science until today in the science world. Great pictures. A book you can sit down with child or young person and read and talk about how science works in this world.

Really a great book- purchased as a gift for my nephew. Lots of drawings, photos. Not a ton of detail on each subject but a fabulous survey of an array of subjects. Well organized. Ow if I can just pry it away from my husband so that I can wrap it

Very interesting educational book. Great price. The book is huge. Lots of educational information.

This heavily illustrated book should appeal to curious minds of all ages. The artifacts and events are from all over the Globe (with proper credits given), not just from some regions or countries. I recommend checking other books in this series (DK Smithsonian).

Teenage son very happy with this book. He has a lot of these large format DK books and loves them all - lots of pictures and well written text. Thoroughly recommend.

Nicely compiled book. In my view, the addition of this book to the collection of the kids from 4th and 5th standards could be considered.

In love with this book it is not just for kids even me and my husband like it.
