Auto Open Close Compact Umbrella with NeverWet and Sunguard

The mechanism makes it a little heavy but not too much. It fit perfect in my wife's on the go purse and it has withstand some speedy winds when took to the beach. Once, in a florida heavy downpour with some wind it flipped over but the structure resisted. So I think it delivers.Off course it is a small umbrella so it wont cover much if windy or side raining but it have worked like a charm to this day and we are happy with it.

I purchased this umbrella to fit into my "man-bag" for a trip to Europe. I needed something under 8" in length and this fit the bill. It was also one of the few automatic umbrellas in this size range. Light, small and easy to carry. Sure enough...we got caught in a rain-storm and this little umbrella did the trick. Proved to be an excellent choice.

I have always bought Tote umbrellas. They lasted for years. Until this one, which I bought May 31, 2018, 10 months ago. Since I have many Tote umbrellas I haven't even used this one that much. But today, it broke. Not when I left the house in the rain but when I left my appointment in a very heavy rain. I had to take a taxi for $22 to get home. What has happened to the quality, Totes used to be the best?

Bought for travel. Seems very functional and just the right size. Sturdy.

THE RETAINING STRAP IS ABOUT AN INCH TOO SHORT. i HAD TO ADD A VELCRO STRIP TO MAKE IT EASIER TO CLOSE.

Bought this for my 85 year old mom who’d lost her umbrella recently. The automatic feature is nice, however my mom doesn’t have the hand/arm strength to pull the umbrella to the closed position. The spring is very strong.

I was rather disappointed in this product. I have the earlier totes isotonic SunGuard brolly and it was much sturdier and had a longer downward canopy than this. Granted this is a mini umbrella, but I found that totes' new SunGuard brollies are much wider (so they block out more sun on the surface) but less curved (so more UV rays get reflected into your eyes and whatever exposed region beneath the brolly!) I'd much rather buy the one with more curved area, because when the sun rays bounce off the ground into your eyes it is so glaring it hurts. Currently I'm using it as a rain umbrella so hopefully it spoils soon in the strong London winds (sorry to my wallet though) and I'd probably hunt for the older version (which I used for 3 years but the winds tore a hole through) or another UV umbrella from another brand. Hopefully totes will revamp their SunGuard series so there's a more angled arch instead of a flat surface!Also, it was light and upon comparing it to the older totes SunGuard I had, the stem of the brolly was much thinner and its 'legs' were curved, in a flimsy manner that speaks of shoddy workmanship.
