Cast Scratcher and Cleaner/Sanitizer Gifts for itching and Cleansing cast Covered arms and Legs

This has been a godsend whilst I've been in my cast.Whilst the doctors have advised not to put anything down the cast, I think the fact that this is not rigid, it does a good job of relieving itches (and is very different from the knitting needles and other sharp rigid intems that doctors tell you not to put down there, that could end up cutting the skin and causing infection), but definitely need to be careful during the first couple of weeks...need to avoid the broken bone area and putting pressure against the arm and cast.My only bugbear is during that first week, whilst the arm is still swollen and therefore difficult to fit the scratcher inside the cast, it might be worth making one end thinner for this purpose.

So i broke my leg (don't wear Crocs in the rain!) and was in a below the knee cast for 6 weeks. The itching started to drive me mad after only about 2 days and after one of my friends who is a nurse warned me about using a ruler to try to scratch my leg, i purchased this beauty. So simple, so basic but an absolute must have. Flexible enough to get to the scratches and no worries of it snapping. Hopefully i'll never have to use it again, but it's safely stored away for now.... just in case!

If you are wearing any form of cast, at some point you are going to get very itchy and this scratcher is the answer. You can lightly scratch away without causing damage. Safer than a knitting needle. A little expensive, but you can't put a price on the relief you get!

Yes, as one review said, it’s just a bit of plastic, but one of the best I’ve ever bought! If you’ve ever had a plaster cast and experienced how unbearable an itch is that you cannot get to , then you will fully appreciate how amazing the relief is that this simple wee solution gives you. Brought for my son who fractured his wrist. He said it was good when he had a shower!Just be aware of the sizing! My sons ended up being a bit tight

It is slim and smooth on one side so doesn't damage the cast padding but relieves itching on the other side. It's brilliant so very helpful

My daughter broke her wrist a week ago, she has been driven insane by the itching underneath the cast. She had a new cast put on 2 days ago and still suffering with the itching. I didn’t even know this thing existed but had to order it straight away! It arrived today and I can’t recommend it enough!! Exactly as described, she’s able to scratch down the cast without it affecting the padding at all inside and most importantly it relieves the itch! She’s over the moon. This is 100% worth the money!
