Penguin Pottery9" Square Bats - Set of 3

These are a lot thinner than other bats I have of similar material. I like them because you can typically leave your thrown work on them without your work cracking. Since I use a community space and don't have my own studio, it is often a few days to a week before I remove my work from bats. My main complaint with these is that they warp, no matter what you do. I've had that issue occasionally with other bats, but it's not every time. These warp every time. So every time I use them, I have to set them aside with weight on them to make them useable again. If not for that, these would be great. The pin hole line up perfectly so there is no wiggling around when they're on the wheel. As they are, I would not purchase these again.

They work, but very snug. Tough to get ok and off the wheel, especially when theres a wet piece on the bat.

The material contents may be satisfactory; but without the ability to place it flat onto the wheel, it is useless. Very frustrating.

Worked well but warped Nd molded just like the cheap ones

Pretty good bat - unfortunately is subject to a lot of bowing in the middle and the bottoms of my thrown pieces are not perfectly flat - but works out since i usually trim a foot.
