Great idea and our 3rd purchase
These are great products and do really work. I have put thick logs on our log burner and just one of these and they do get the fire going. You probably have to keep a close eye as to when the logs are ready to turn, unlike when you put a hand full of kindlin on the log burner and it makes a bed of embers, which you can throw a log on. However you then go through kindling at a rate of knots and probably spend more that way. So great product and don’t let the price put you off. Oh on some occasions when I have need to make them stretch I have managed to break 1 single sheet instead of into 2 , but managed to break to 4 and then makes them stretch a little more.

No reservations
I have used these firelighters in a fire pit just twice so probably need to practise a little more. The second time I used them I placed them on two pieces of kindling just to allow some air underneath. On this occasion they lit easily and there was neither smell nor smoke. They were easy to handle and break into smaller pieces as required. I used a little kiln-dried kindling just to be on the safe side but they caught well and my fire pit was soon blazing. Yes, I would recommend without reservations.

Easy and effective - the best
These are terrific. Easy to light and they set the fire so easily without paper or kindling sticks. Also they burn evenly for a long time so your fuel whether logs or coal doesn’t just burn up like a blast furnace. You get a steady burn and a long-lasting fire without sacrificing a load of fuel/kindling to get it going. Will definitely buy again. No more smelly firelighters!

Easy to use
I am working through my second box of these fire lighters. They are much easier to use than the smaller blocks, hay-wrapped starters or similar as you can easily light the block without having to reach into the fireplace and risk getting burnt.They are so efficient that I can use just these without kindling etc to get my fire roaring.

Chuck it in the burner and off you go
These are amazing. I bought them after struggling to light smokeless coal reliably. They're so easy. Chuck one in the burner, coal on top, light it, leave the vent open so it draws and bobs your uncle away it goes. Half a brick does one regular sized fire. Chuck on top of leftover hot coals as well and woosh! Top product, highly recommend.
