Simple, small, battery powered and accurate enough
I got this to use in our camper and I’ve been testing it at home against our weather station. The ThermoPro has been consistently within about 1°-2° F of our at home station. The humidity readings diverge by about 10%. Both the temperature and humidity differences are present in both indoor and outdoor readings. However, it is a consistent difference which is a good thing. The connection to the outdoor unit occurred quickly without me having to tinker with anything, and the connection is solid at about 50 feet. I have not tested at a greater distance. The display is easy to read during the day, and the backlight is really good if you want to see the readings without turning on a light. You do have to push a button to turn on the backlighting, but that’s what we wanted. There are already too many LED / LCD displays, buttons and status lights on at night in the camper without adding to the interior light pollution. The magnet holds firmly to our microwave door, and the little “kick stand” functions properly as well. I think this is a good little item for travel, or if you just want or need a minimalist indoor-outdoor thermometer and humidity gauge.

Mount sending unit in shaded area at least 4-5 feet above ground level
Does what it’s supposed to. Seems to be very accurate, syncs with TV/Radio outdoor reported temperatures and my indoor thermostat. Easy to read display. Outside unit must be mounted in a shaded area. Direct sun will severely affect the actual temperature. No complaints.

Very handy
This set of very small thermometers is really handy, especially during the cold winters. Easy to use, easy screen to read, and shows the humidity, as well. We have them in different areas of the house to help us regulate the heat.

Solid and reliable
External thermometers seem to have a number of reliability issues in general, based on customer reviews. They tend to be cheaply made, and the expensive “weather station” units often don’t live up to their hype. Having used several, I settled on the ThermoPro as a good balance between cost, features, and reliability. So far, it’s held up. I’m impressed that it does seem to have a long range. It seems solidly built and it’s easy to read. The temp and humidity readings seem to be very accurate. The outdoor sensor does have one drawback—it has a built-in lithium battery that can’t be replaced, and mine was running down each month, forcing me to recharge it. I purchased the ThermoPro TX-7B Additional Outdoor Sensor, which does have replaceable batteries, to use instead. It’s worked fine. I thought I could set the original sensor to a different channel and use both—but after I paired the unit with the TX-7B, I could not get it to recognize the original sensor, despite resetting everything several times and searching the manual. Still, I’m satisfied. The other brands seem to have some serious drawbacks, and I’ve been able to get the ThermoPro to work well.

Perfect little indoor/outdoor thermometer
Simple, easy to read indoor/outdoor thermometer. I ordered another brand that was awful. This one is ideal.

Nice pdroduct, but failed after 2 months
Worked well and has an illumination button to help read the display. I found the illumination button hard to touch without possibly changing the display due to other function buttons right near by. Would help if the illumination button was larger and separated from the others. Also, the outdoor display stopped working and even after bringing it indoors nexts to the other unit, it did not recover. Fiddling with it and the batteries (also checking them for charge) did not help. It now sometimes reads 55 F or nothing at all. The indoor display continues apparently accurately.

Simple to set up out of the box, easy to read
Just received this item and set it up yesterday. So far, so good. It was simple to unbox, install the two AAA batteries that came with it, turn on the remote sensor and get it working. There really wasn't any complexity at all since I am just using the one remote sensor that came with the base station. It basically just worked out of the box. Interestingly, it seemed to take at least an hour or more for the remote sensor to read accurately after I placed it outdoors. By the next morning the reading appeared to be accurate - at least, it was consistent with my weather apps. I wasn't looking for all the bells and whistles that you can get with other "home weather stations" - just a basic indoor and outdoor temperature and humidity reading. The trend and min/max data is somewhat helpful but I'm not that much into hyper-local weather! So this unit seems to be meeting my needs very well. I had only one gripe, and that is the teensy manual that comes with the unit doesn't really say anything about charging the remote sensor! I like the fact that the remote sensor has a built-in rechargeable battery (though I'm concerned that when that internal battery eventually dies I may be stuck, or need to purchase an entirely new sensor, which may or may not be compatible with the base station at that future time). It was easy to plug the charging cable in. But there really weren't any details or instructions - and no information on typical recharge times. I just had to guess. I plugged it in and an LED on the front glowed red for a while, then turned green. So I guess that meant it was fully charged.
