The Snow Peak Vault is a compact yet incredibly practical tent. Despite its size, it’s surprisingly spacious and functional. I’m very satisfied with both the quality and the price — it’s a realistic and worthwhile choice for any camper.

Ratings: 4 Stars on space/room - My 15yo son and I found this perfect in size. Plenty of room and at 6'2" I don't have to bend down to much inside. We were able to fit two cots and a small table easily. 3 Stars on overall footprint of tent - It's big! It doesn't fit on many "standard" camp ground pads. I knew it was big but man it's big! 3.5 Stars on assembly - Getting the vestibule corner pins inserted in the the poles was very difficult. We scratched it off as first use and the poles needing to be "worn in" or bent a bit more but during the processes of trying to get one corner inserted we broke the pole. On the very first set up and for the record we were not mindlessly bending it. Maybe as time goes this will be easier to insert as the poles are used. As they state, it definitely needs two people to stand this up. I thought I could get this to be my winter tent. I could put a wood burning stove in the vestibule as it's perfectly large enough, but I can't because of how finicky it'll be to assemble as by myself. Last, there is a lot of fraying of threads from the vestibule. I'm not 100% sure if this is normal but I plan on reaching out to them and asking. Overall this is a great tent for those car camping/overlanding and want good space and headroom. But you'll need a second person to put it up quickly and because of that size it takes a while to put up. Teardown not so much but standing up yes. More to come.
