When springtime comes, maple sap slowly ascends the tree to wake it up and make the buds bloom. We then collect the slightly sweet liquid and boil it down to concentrate its elements. It takes 40 liters of sap to make 1 liter of maple syrup.

Expired a year ago!
I am really bummed! I had not used my maple syrup yet. I noticed as I was about to use it, it EXPIRED! Best used by 9/2017! I purchased this 2 weeks ago! Not eligible for return, COMPLETE waste of money.
