This is the new home for my MINI African Violet. I needed a dome that would give a tropical environment for this plant in my dry office environment. I needed a dome wide enough so the leaves would not touch the sides and tall enough for the flowers. Perfect! When I water, I gently remove the dome around the leaves and it fits just right.

I bought this to store one of my husband's little dragon figurines to display. The glass globe to mine is thin and easy to break so I highly recommend being very careful with it. It is nice sized for making a little terrarium or turning into a little fairy globe.

Clear glass, fits nicely onto the wooden base. Nice wide mouth to fit down over what I put on the base. Doesn't feel like it's going to break if you touch it! Good and solid. I'll be getting more of these, for me and for gifts.

I only measure 5.5" wide by 5" tall (even shorter when it sinks into the base almost 1/4". The interior dimensions are even smaller, I had to cut almost an inch off a 5.5" tall item to fit inside. Other than that it appears to be great, held up to banging around in my car for a while totally unprotected just fine. I'd also recommend a light sanding with 200+ grit paper on the exterior edges of the wood, has a very rough/unfinished texture out of the box. I'd buy this again but now that I know how much smaller the real-world dimensions are from the 6" advertised I'll make sure to buy a shorter decoration to go inside. update: actually got my snow-globe project finished and without (easy & cheap) modifications this is the wrong item for a snow-globe. The base isn't water sealed at all and now that it's been about 28hrs, the base is turning into a "U" with a crack running through the middle and I'm not sure why the water hasn't leaked out of it. Been a learning process for me, kinda feel like this deserves 3 stars instead of 4 but I don't want to over punish the item for me buying the wrong thing and not realizing it until it was too late to fix it.

I needed a globe that wasn't too big or heavy and that had a rounded top. This was perfect. Lightweight yet quality, totally see-through, came with a nice wooden base, which I was not expecting. Highly recommend. I gave it 4 stars for the thickness just because I felt like I had to be very careful, even when I hand-washed it, that it wouldn't shatter. It might not, I don't know, but it seems delicate but not tooooo thin.

Daughter makes a special cake for the Holidays, and this year she said a snow globe cake! Well it turned out fantastic. She made and decorated a cake, bought inexpensive holiday decorations - Santa and reindeer - from Hobby Lobby for about $4, make a christmas tree and put it all inside the globe. Added powdered sugar for snow and a holly fondant for the top. Comes well packaged and has been put away for next year. Wonderful.

I had a hand blown glass bottle for my seashells that got broken. I used a hit glue gun to seal it and now I have my seashells back! Very happy becay granddaughter loves to shake it and find the different shells. Nicely made and great value!

Made a simple snowglobe with this, nothing fancy. The glass cracked in less than 48 hours of me filling it up and sealing it. So my best friend didn't get a snowglobe gift for her birthday that was already ruined by the shelter in place and I'm out 12 bucks. The glass is so thin.

The base is SUPER lightweight but holds my Commander Farsight perfectly, albeit you have to be strategic in getting him into the glass dome. Great for Warhammer models.

Made the wife a everlasting gobstopper for the media room. This was a great way to display it after some tweaking.
