It was fun. Have to be careful when assembling it because it's very fragile/delicate.

The results look nice, but like other MU models with flowers the pinning method is unnecessarily difficult. The instructions are a mystery novel sometimes. I had to use a Chinese to English translator sometimes.There are four (I think) intended end result uses. One would make this like a refrigerator magnet just for decoration. They show it used in this form on a wood box top, so my guess is it was glued or magnetized down (don’t know as you can’t tell).The second option appears to be like the first, but with a deeper standoff. The box for the stand-off essentially collapsed with the magnets in it and pulling it off the base too many times. It was just too weak.The third option was to magnetize it to a clip underneath. Not sure what you would clip it too in all practicality. The magnets stick, but still slip when the clip is applied vertically. A clip is a clip; they never hold perfectly. It is best to use the clip on a horizontal surface.The third option was to hang it. First, the chords that came with it frayed apart when trying to knot them. They looked nice though. They are also too short to be any use. The decorative part of the butterfly is on top where the chord attaches. If you hang this high so you don’t run into it, you can’t see the decorative part. Hung too low, you will run into it and snag it. There has to be a specific environment to make hanging it work. I don’t know what that would be.

So far I’ve enjoyed every item I’ve ordered from MU. Quality has been great from models to model stands to the tool set. These butterflies are definitely fun and great if you want a smaller/quicker project. They come with magnets, so I’ve been adding mine to my file cabinet at work once I’ve completed them! They also come with a little scented felt disc that you can insert into a little box underneath, but the scent is pretty faint for me. Smells good though! But I have to put my nose right up on it practically in order to smell it lol. I definitely recommend anything from MU, every purchase has been worth the money so far!
