Q: Does this come with the brass screw?

Yes , you did not ask but I tried to use this on an older style light which used screws to clamp the cover and housing together. This unit uses the wire ring with a clinching screw as shown. It can be retrofitted and should work but I found I could not obtain a good seal and ended up buying an entire new light assembly.
