Apex Slim Sleeve (Slim Bifold Leather Wallet, RFID Protected)

I like slim wallets. The ones with metal $ clips end up tearing up my back pocket. The ones with magnet $ clips or which fold around a metal clip also have their functional limitations. A quality slim wallet without any "clips" is difficult to find and, when I have found one, isn't usually well made. I did my homework this time and found this one. I love it so far. It wasn't cheap BUT nothing that was either well made (this one) or artisan small shop is ever cheap.

I’m always extremely reluctant to ever write a 5 star review! There are far too many in our society and it’s really diminishing the value of other people’s perspective! But… …this wallet has quickly grown on me! It was very slow to anrrive and had very few color options. When it arrived (late), I thought it was defective. The magnetic, pinch-to-open concept was very awkward and didn’t open, but folded over itself. And the wallet just felt cheap, which was frustrating for the price tag and company behind it. I almost sent it back before I finished getting it fully out of the packaging. Then, I migrated my things into it! Once a card or two was in it, the magnetic pinch process works smoothly and comfortably. With a little support inside, the wallet feels like fine material expertly assembled. The shape compensates around the edges so you don’t feel the wallet when you sit, whether in a back or front pocket. I just threw away one of those wallets with the card holder that presents your cards when you press a lever. It is a cool concept that looks great in advertisements. It’s also quite small, having a profile the dimensions slightly larger than a credit card. But, the edges are squared off (to appear smaller) rather than tapered so it feels like you’re sitting on a brick (or deck of cards). After about a month, the cards would eject by themselves. I would regularly have cards fly out when I took out my wallet. It was like the designer had a great idea, but had never actually walked around with a wallet in their pocket. This wallet was made by someone in-the-know! I expect this wallet to last me a long time, but if it fell apart tomorrow I would likely reorder another to replace it! Great job bellroy! Versatile wallet that fits multiple credit cards and some cash. Leather is smooth and outside color perfectly complements the inside of the wallet. Can’t go wrong with this purchase. It’s durable and you will get good complements in its look a d functionality. Would definitely recommend this product.

The concept is nice, this one was poorly designed. 1. The magnetic closure seals flush all the way around without a "lip" or "tab" to help open it. Meaning you need to hold it with both hands and try to pry it open. 2. It won't hold what they claim it holds. It wouldn't close with three non-embossed credit cards, a Costco card, my license, and six dollar bills. 3. The price is astronomical for a product as unlivable as this wallet is.

Pepper blue had a textured but still smooth feel which feels more suede than leather. Overall, it holds 5-6 normal thickness cards with 4-5 bills folded to allow the magnetic “snap” to close mostly flush. You can absolutely fit a few more bills and up to 8 cards if you need to, but it wont close as securely (and at that point, get a bigger wallet). For context, I found this while looking for a slim option that didn’t expose your id on the outside, and didn't require you to fold bills more than once. This wallet checks the boxes for me while handling the capacity I need, but the price is high for thin leather and a minimalist design. To that point I’d expect the “heat sealing” to be a cheaper and faster alternative to hand stitching, so not clear why the cost is significantly higher than the non-Apex version.

I have been using a minimalist wallet for years. Tried various two plate type models and never really liked getting cards and and out. This wallet hold my license, two credit card, cash and three thin insurance cards perfectly. You could get a few more credit card in there easily, but the clam shell aspect might not close as complexity. Pinch to open which is very easy to do. Magnetic close is great. Highly recommend. You do get what you pay for. Super stylish as well.

Despite the reviews I read about this not closing, I decided to purchase this wallet for its look. I also decided to use the wallet for some time before writing a review. Here’s what I’ve found: Like others I cannot get the wallet to close fully. My setup: I put my license in the left pocket and cash in the sleeve behind. I put my debit card in the right pocket, and 5 cards in the sleeve behind. This may be too many cards for it to close as the sleeves just may not be thick enough. Even reducing the number to 3 cards and it still won’t close (note: I have one thick credit card and 2 insurance cards. I’d guesstimate this about 2mm thick). Since it’s been in use unfortunately I have slightly warped the edges now making it impossible to fully close. However in all cases the magnets are strong enough to stay closed in my setup. As far as the quality goes, I really like this wallet. It is made well and is a unique and nice design. The leather is quite soft and has a very nice hand. I chose the blue color with burnt orange and those who’ve seen the wallet frequently compliment me. It’s also quite sleek and works well in my front pocket which is what I prefer. I also quite love the tab to help pull the cards out. I also don’t worry about skimmers as this blocks RFID via the faraday caged design. So, while it won’t fully close and I may be overpacking it, I would still recommend this because of it’s aesthetic and features. No it will not fully close (and likely never due to my setup) but it serves the purpose of being small, functional, and also looks good.

Best wallet I've bought in many years, great size, soft leather and the magnet to keep it closed is a great touch.

I love the wallet I love the magnets I love the size fall in my money it’s not that hard I am waiting for the new Apex coming out that actually has a sleeve in the bag to put your CurrencY in unfolded

C’est cher payé il faut le dire mais le produit est de qualité. On ne peut pas insérer beaucoup de billets lorsqu’on a atteint la limite de 6 cartes. Maintenant qu’on peut avoir la plupart des cartes en version électronique sur son téléphone portable, plus de raison d’arborer une protubérance sur la fesse et développer des maux de dos à s’asseoir sur un porte feuille exagérément rempli.
