These hiking boots fit me perfectly and were comfortable right out of the box. I have worn them walking on pavement and they are comfortable for that as well. I have not encountered any issues with the hooks catching the laces of the other shoe as others have described, and wonder if those people are not lacing the boot all the way up as instructed by the tag on the boot. I even tried to get them to catch on purpose and was unsuccessful. They look great on and I get compliments wherever I wear them. These boots are quite warm. I have not tromped through water in them, but am assured by friends who own them that they are waterproof, and that they have never slipped while hiking. I find there is not a lot of arch support in these, so if you need that, you might size up and add an insert. The width seems perfect for an average foot, and toe box does not cramp my toes. Quality is good. These boot laces stay tied. Seems to be great value for the cost. I am definitely looking forward to hiking in these, and would buy this brand again.

At first,I bought these shoes for trial. First day I wore it and went for shopping, came back with a lower half leg pain.But my son told me to try it for hiking,so thought to give it a try because our hiking trip was already made for Canada. Within 2 days we went to Canada and started our hiking in Jasper National park, Banff, Calgiri etc. We hiked 20 days in a row . As a newbie, these hiking were quite tough for me, but being very honest that these shoes helped me a lot and made my hiking quite easy. Grip or traction was quite good. Everyone in the group were wearing good hiking shoes, but I noticed I was the one who never slipped even for a bit. Most definitely I was cautious too, still shoes helped me noticeably. I was able to cross or go in some water too without getting my feet wet. Important thing I noticed was even after such a tough hike of miles and miles, night time my feet or legs were not achy or tired, not bruised. We went on glaciers too and there I could feel a good grip on the ice too. My shoe size is 5, quite a small feet and very tough to find choice of my shoes . But I loved these shoes. wine color is so beautiful. My feet are thin, so never felt the room problem. It's comfortable for me. weight is definitely little more than regular everyday very lightweight shoes, but definitely not horrible. Soon I adapted the weight, but little less could be more better. After hiking, going for shopping or roaming here and there didn't made my feet hurt. Within a week of trial, I bought these shoes and had great hiking experience. Thanks to Amazon for giving us the option for trial. Would definitely recommend these shoes.

These are very comfortable, it did take a couple of days to get them broken in, but that's not bad. I love the ankel support and the toe box for room. I wear orthotics so that works good. I'm always looking for hiking boots because I walk dogs and my own so they get worn out pretty fast, I get a new pair around 2 times per year. It's not fun when you have to look for boots, so many and I'm pretty picky. But Salomon has been my choice lately. I've tried Merrell, (Not bad, used them for a couple of years), Keen, (NOT Keen on Keens) just don't like the way they look like crap so fast and the design outside, the boots themselves are not bad either, just not my cup of tea. I've tried some other less known brands, but definitely not worth trying, I won't go into details. I'm just happy with the Salomon brand, and I have even had mens boots in the Salomon, they are 150% better then any other boot I've worn. But just as I found the ONE, now I can't buy them anymore, drives me nuts.. Salomon does an excellent job for a comfortable, Long lasting, waterproof boot.

I bought 2 pairs of hiking shoes before a trip. These by far were the most comfortable and fit. I typically wear 8-9 depending on shoes. With 8.5 being my go to size. These, due to reviews said size down, I ordered 8 and it fit perfectly. Wide toe box. For Reference: I also ordered TNF hedgehog in an 8 and it ran a bit small for my second toe. Both I kept. Great Shoe /value and look for the price.

I got these to upgrade to a waterproof style. They’re lightweight, good amount of room in the toe box. Pretty flexible for a hiking shoe without feeling too much of the ground underneath. Colors go well with almost everything. I did size up 1/2 size to a 7 to accommodate winter socks and they fit perfectly. Traction was great even on wet rocks and sandy hills. No noticeable wear after the first few uses which is nice. They’re not very breathable due to waterproofing so it took a day or two to really tell if they were waterproof..

I am surprised by how comfortable these are! Hiking boots usually need a little time to be broken in but not these. They are soft, warm and cozy with excellent support. I have owned Salomon’s in the past and they were a little narrow in the toe - these are definitely wider and fit perfect. I wear them for walking dogs in the fall/winter and for hiking trails. I hope they hold up longer than my Merrell’s which lasted only 3 months before the waterproofing stopped working and they got holes. My only complaint is the laces. These kind of laces always come loose so I replaced them with no tie laces which you can find for $5 on Amazon. Very happy with my purchase! UPDATE: NOT WATERPROOF! So bummed! Within the first week of owning these I noticed my toes were wet!!! Had them for a few months now and my socks are soaking if I wear these in wet grass or snow. Disappointed!!

Great boots! Great value! I walk a lot & they last for over a year! Super comfortable! May fit just a tiny bit snug if wearing thicker socks (may want to upsize 1/2 size) I have bought multiple pairs for work.

These are very good quality boots that fit true to size and are comfortable to wear hiking all day. And, yes they really are waterproof. I've waded through streams and my socks and feet stay dry!

Super grippy, great ankle support, comfortable and easy to put on. I hiked without breaking them in and they were great straight away. And I felt super secure on loose and unstable ground with no slips.
