I have been using this product to get Android Auto in a car that came with wired CarPlay. It has worked well though does crash occasionally. I have found that the Firmware update made it significantly more stable. I was only able to get the Firmware update to work using an iPhone.

It lagging and keeps crashing

Nice to loose the cord. I wish my older tundra had carplay so I could have one for it too. Highly recommended

I can't speak to the Apple carplay quality, but Android Auto users should absolutely avoid this one.The issues i've experienced include:- Difficulty connecting to phone via Bluetooth w/ frequent non-starts- Audio stuttering- graphical errors, especially on Google maps- Showing a lack of 4G or 5G signal bars & not connecting calls when the phone actually has service- Random disconnections & crashes- the only way to update the firmware is by scanning a shady QR code- some shortcut buttons on the car's steering wheel aren't recognizedIt boggles my mind why these cost as much as they do. Should've returned it when I had the chance.

Great idea, just poor execution. There is constant Bluetooth audio lag that makes phone calls difficult. Audio drops occasionally as well and the quality sounds worse than direct Bluetooth from my phone to car. The touch screen only seems to work after restarting the device everytime after I start the car. Touch input lag is wildly variable.Gave me such hope to finally have Android auto work on my 2020 Prius Prime but unfortunately the experience just isn't usable due to the issues above. I will try the newer model but I suggest avoiding this model entirety.

I love to have CarPlay wireless:)

Device never found my ANDROID phone. Only able to select iPhone. Android auto was never selectable. No iPhone in site... Never connected. Never got past a solid red light. Supposed to flash red then solid green when connected. Solid red for 5 and 20 minute increments. Displayed a different number than my car. Update Website from instructions never loaded.The only thing that was good was the same day delivery. I'd like a same day refund!

Bring the unit to Utah for snow boarding. First feel is it is very slow response. About 2 to 3 sec for each click. Then the system does not boot up in cold temp. I have to wait until the cabin temp to reach 65 to 70 degree to see the screen.
