small lever, big upgrade! and surprisingly easy to install!
installing:I'd never worked with the hydraulics before, but based on the reviews here, I thought I'd try it. It took a while, even with my daughter's help, but it was pretty easy to follow the instructional video, and it all worked out great!tools:*for everyone who's asking, the bleed kit came with the Reverb post, so look in the box-you probably already have it!*the video says you need a cable cutter, but a single-sided razor blade worked fine. just make sure to use a new blade and to cut it nice and straight.*The 1x lever comes with a 'bleeding edge' valve (which replaces one of the valves in you old bleed kit), which doubles as a wrench so you can open the bleed port with the valve already attached-very clever! It took a while, but it was fun, and satisfying to do!The lever itself:is awesome!!! it has feather-touch actuation and the location is much more ergonomic and intuitive, and tucks away neatly under the bar. Gotta love the 1x!!! If you ride singletrack and use your dropper a lot, it will totally be worth the money.[*****NB*****: this lever will only work if you have a 1x ('one-by') drivetrain, meaning a single chainring in front, because the lever ls located where the old front shift lever would have been]

Way Better
Great upgrade. So much better than the plunger and so much more intuitive. Really allows you to aggressively use your dropper post the way it was meant to be. Had to bleed several times to get the intended performance. Video was great and the bleed is relatively easy. I screwed up and tried the remote before the bleed was fully complete - needed multiple bleeds. Make sure that your post is fully extended before you start the bleed process and then don't dick around with it until you are completely finished with the bleed. This was my first Reverb Stealth (B1) that came with a brand new high end component bike. Initially, I was less than impressed with the plunger and RS performance compared to other dropper post that I had seen and experienced. Just seemed slow and unresponsive on the rise. After the upgrade to the 1x and the bleeds the RS is a completely different performing component. At its fastest settings it literately slams to the top of the seat post collar. I don't necessarily think it is all because of the 1x - but I don't know. I would recommend to anyone that has an under-performing RS B1 to learn how and go properly bleed the system. Huge positive difference for me.

Throw your button in the trash
Your Reverb button is sticking at the bottom. You bleed it every which way, but nothing seems to help. Your dropper seems spongy and unreliable. Your choices are to spend nearly $50 on a couple o-rings for the Reverb button rebuild kit, or just buy the lever.Just buy the lever. It’s smoother, it’s more reliable, simple to bleed, and is what the reverb dropper should have come with from the factory. 10 minutes to install and bleed, the working perfectly, and I’m no longer finding myself debating whether I need to buy a new $400 dropper to escape the hydraulic dropper headache. The only complaint is that it’s positioned a little low/inboard, but a matchmaker clamp or ispec adapter will alleviate that problem.

Great Upgrade! Time To Dump Your Plunger Remote.
Love it. You do have to purchase a bleed kit separately. My only complaint is that I waited so long to purchase. It's a relatively easy install. I highly recommend watching the video by RockShox posted on YouTube.

Why didn't the Reverb come stock with this remote?
Works great, much better than the old button style remote. If you can use a shifter, you can use this remote. Setup is a bit fussy since it has to be bled after installation. Be warned that this kit does not include a bleed kit, so you need to get it separately or get a shop to bleed it for you. Bleeding is not hard once you have the kit though.

One of the best the best upgrades I have made and I have made many many upgrades on my bikes
Love this new lever, it's so much better then the old push button style one. It has a nice an easy push and your thumb doesn't have to be exactly lined up to it. The bleed system is very nice. Also my Rockshox B1 dropper developed a site slag on the dropper. I did all the normal test and checks air pressure and everything else didn't help, but I was still using the old push button style actuator, I onced I installed the new 1X lever this stopped the slag completely and more speed and control over the dropper now.I was just a great improvement I installed it on all three of my bikes.

Huge improvement!!
The1x lever is by far a noticeable upgrade to the original “plunger” style lever. I don’t feel as if I am “ reaching” by placing my thumb in an awkward position to activate. This lever mounts in a better position and is a definite improvement- it just feels natural.

Back in business
Cut the old push button one off, screw this one on. A good bleed, and I’m dropping again. Super easy with only a rear derailleur on one side and this on the other. Mounted to my left brake perch.
