Can the distance of the teather be shortened and attached from above. I have an IPool (fitmax) with a poll that is around 4 feet above the water

It’s long enough to reach more than 6 feet. Not sure what an ipool is. We are having trouble finding attaching to the start/swim block. Think it might be too high or too long as we feel it makes us swim more vertical =bad positioning. So we are going to try to make it shorter and maybe attach it under the decking. We swim at Y pool so not much flexibility on where we can use it.

How far away from the pool are you able to tether it?

That depends on how much room you want/need for your legs and feet for kicking. As long as you have room for that, I don’t see why the distance to the tether point would matter other than there is a “pull back” effect when you stop swimming hard and you could get pulled into the pool wall if you had to stretch the cable just to start swimming.

Can I buy just a bungee cord? I bought another kit and the latex rubber broke down after a tee uses in a pool
