this is like solving the faces of a 5x5
I'm going to agree with the other reviewer for the most part - the puzzle is easier in the stickerless form. Without stickers, this is like solving the faces of a 5x5, except without centers. It doesn't matter even whether you pay attention to the original positions of the colors - it's entirely possible to swap any two colors.I do personally have a fondness for solving the centers of a 5x5x5, Rubik's cube, so I don't entirely dislike this puzzle as-is - it's a pleasant little thing, and I like the way the stickerless colors look. But it unfortunately is a bit awkward to turn. It can be difficult to figure out why it's not turning, and it's easy to accidentally rotate a "hat" instead of the interior slice. The other reviewer mentions the puzzle not being lubricated; mine was, but I didn't get mine through this seller. I also can't really comment on the comparison with the stickered version. I doubt the turning quality is a big improvement - this puzzle fundamentally is made of long sharp pieces which get stuck on each other.I'm going to add stickers myself on this puzzle, but if you're not looking for a tough puzzle, you don't need to.
