In the winter, with heaters on all the time, my hair gets so dry. I keep looking for conditioner that doesn't have some dreadful smell, but will make my hair behave.The smell is important - I get migraines, and like 95% of the 2 Billion other people who get migraines, I have a super sensitive sense of smell. So a manufactured fragrance can be a trigger (an essential oil, like eucalyptus, can mitigate).This product has a slight scent. I notice other reviewers love the smell, and I can't say that it was one I fully embraced - especially since, for the conditioner to work, you need to leave it on your hair for two full minutes. But it's not horrific, or unpleasant - it's just a bit of a manufactured product smell. And, it left my hair feeling moisturized and healthy, not just on the first day, but on the second day - which means that even after one night of sleep, my hair was looking healthy without additional products thrown on it. Amazing.So this product works for me. I'm also glad they are listed by PETA as a company that does not test on animals. However, they don't use the correct PETA logo for participation. There are many, many companies out there - sold on Amazon and elsewhere - that claim they participate, use a fake logo, and hope you don't verify so they don't get caught. Making up a logo, instead of using the market-recognized PETA logo, just adds to the confusion. If you work with PETA or Leaping Bunny, take advantage of what they offer and help consumers recognize the commitment your company has made.I was ready to shake my mane, as the product says, but instead I had to shake my head at that customized cruelty-free logo. Nonetheless, this is a product, manufactured with cruelty free standards, that works for me.
