I've been looking for an insulated bottle with modern interpretation the old classic bite to pull open valves. Doesn't leak and works great.Insulation seems to be decent, at least on par with other premium insulated sports bottles.

I’ve been using the Polar Bottle Breakaway Insulated Water Bottles for over 3 years now, and they’ve been incredibly durable. Perfect for biking, the insulation keeps my water cool even on longer rides, and the squeeze design makes it easy to hydrate on the go. The bottles are lightweight hold up well after repeated use. Definitely a great investment for anyone into cycling or outdoor activities.

I only ride for one to two hours, so the fact that it doesn't keep water very cold for that long doesn't matter. It keeps it cold enough. This is the third one I bought. The second one did not have the membrane that keeps water from coming out if I don't close it. Now, just to keep my new one out of reach of my mentally ill, 61 year old nephew who is obsessed with stealing my water bottles and other stuff and doesn't remember doing it.

I've used these for riding over 3,000 miles on my bicycle in all temperatures. They don't leak, they are pretty well insulated for being plastic, and fit perfectly in my bottle cages.

I bought them for my gravel bike but find I also use them frequently for car trips & even around the house. I appreciate the size being just enough shorter than my other bike bottles because the geometry of my gravel bike wouldn't fit taller bottles.

Good quality valve, need a really solid bottle cage if full of water cuz it gets heavy. Quite the handful. Spurt into mouth or on head as desired, there's plenty of liquid to go around.Sorry for not ending with a joke, I just didn't have it in me.

Pros: I really wanted a plastic bottle I could keep by my bedside that is not metal and could squeeze water out of at night when I am thirsty. This is that design. I shopped around a lot looking. The size is just right for what I want. When the cat knocks it over, it does not leak even if the spout is open (that's my experience, I do not know if it will hold true for everyone). I like the colors in the pattern. That's about all I like about this.Cons: It is WAY too hard to squeeze. I have some nerve problems in my hands but still type enough to work on a computer about 16 hours a day, but this is nearly impossible for me to squeeze. The red cap is a horrible design flaw with the pastel paper (I knew about this and did not deduct a star for it). The design, though, is merely a printed piece of paper that was somehow inserted into the design and looks really tacky (in my opinion). If I wanted to be imaginative, I could pretend that a preschooler created the design and bottle for me as a school project, hence the wrinkled paper in clear view and non-coordinating obnoxious red cap.I think there are opportunities to make this a better product. For the price, I'm happy enough although the worst part of this as a nightstand cup is the pain it causes my hand to squeeze it. I have to use 2 hands and it really shouldn't be that hard. I would never use this outside the house because it does not keep water cold any more than an ice pack you put on your head for a headache. There is no real insulation. Sometimes I put ice in it and it lasts 20 minutes max, which can be enough to fall asleep, but does no real good through the night.
