It works
It seems to be doing the job . We brought a fairly expensive wind spinner from the garden centre . After a few winds it turns out when you spend 100 pound on a wind spinner it has very cheep metal used on it. Used this as a sleeve over the top of the weak join. And is now up and spinning again.

A sound job
The 35mm OD was the exact fit into out garden parasol tube which had snapped during some high winds .the repaint actually made the parasol fitting far stronger ...a delighted couple
