No coconut in the ingredient or coca
The only thing it’s a smallllll bottle wish it was bigger and better price range. I’m allergic to coca.. and anything coconut and this doesn’t have either. Makes my scalp feel amazing, just leaves my hair a little brittle. Paired w the conditioner

SO SAD. Viscosity problem.
SO SAD! Why oh why can't someone simply make a normal shampoo without fragrance??? This product gets five stars for cleaning, but one star for consistency. It runs off your hands so quickly that you don't have time to get it up onto your head. After four sessions of trying to figure out a way, I returned it. I was so very hopeful. Coincidentally, I rediscovered the EO "Sweet Orange" shampoo, that's scented only with essential oils, and so far the fragrance is fine and the cleaning is good.

Good
It’s good, only wish it didn’t contain Phenoxyethanol. Ingredient list could be a little simpler. But it’s fragrance free, which is hard to find, so overall still better than most.

Doesn’t work
Very thick. Wasn’t impressed at all by this product. It felt like it didn’t clean my hair well.

Like the shampoo properties better
What’s funny is at first I didn’t realize this was a shampoo. I know The Ordinary makes shampoo but I only seen “body” on the listing. I actually like it better as a shampoo though. For a body wash it doesn’t lather up as much as I would like, doesn’t have a scent, and I just don’t feel as cleansed as I would like to feel after. For a shampoo, it lathers up more on the double wash and feels like it gets the oils out of my hair. I would say this is more of a shampoo that I use a couple times a week as a slight clarifying shampoo.

Gentle, fragrance free cleanser
I've heard good things about The Ordinary brand, so I decided to give this Sulphate 4% Cleanser a try. I normally avoid products with sulfates, but I've heard that all might not be that bad depending on the formulation. This has a low concentration of Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES), which is a gentler option than Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS).I don't love this as a body wash. Although it lathers well (not thick but bubbly), it feels a bit thin. It's totally unscented, and while I appreciate fragrance free products, I think I prefer a bit of scent in this type of product for a more pleasant sensory experience. I feel like it cleans without drying my maturing skin, but it doesn't seem moisturizing.I like it better as a shampoo. It lathers well and seems to clean my fine but thick, color treated hair well without being too harsh. I often find shampoos overly scented and perfumey, so I don't mind this being unscented. It's a good basic shampoo, but the price of $9.20 for 8.1 oz seems high to me. It would be a better value if it cost less. But, it is hard to find unscented options, so it might be worth it based on that reason.
