Having read one or two negative reviews I was unsure how this would work out, but I am delighted with the purchase. It looks good, not too heavy but very stable and pops corn really well. We have bought a bunch of square popcorn boxes to create the full experience and the kids can’t get enough of it… even when there is no film as an excuse. We have followed the instructions carefully, so between each batch there is a cooling period and it is important to measure correctly to ensure the maximum percentage of kernels being popped. I think we‘re getting around 95% which is good enough. Collect the un-popped kernels and re-cycle innige next batch. Ideal for a family to eat warm, freshly popped corn, with a pause between batches. For a large quantity make the batches before hand. I am fairly certain that the failures mentioned in various comments would be due to not following the pause instructions.
