I ordered 2 sets for my twin boys for their 7th birthday. Thank goodness 3/4 were sand, but it is not regular sand, more like moon sand. We got 1 of the slime ones, and those are gross. It’s not like real slime, it’s more of a jelly slime, it’s nasty. But all 4 were different, none were the same. And we did get one of the golden pieces. So all in all, I would say it was perfect for them. Great toy for any Minecraft enthusiast. I love that there is a place to put each individual piece in the box to show off everything in each box!

I've bought a couple of these sets for my son and he loves them. It's fun digging for the pieces for the figures and the heart pieces make it really easy to glue them together. The slime ones are a bit oozy but we really just get them for the figures anyways. The sand is like kinetic sand which is really nice though. So far we've been lucky and haven't gotten the same figures from any of the ones I've bought yet.

My son loved these! Very cute and fun. The glue hearts loosen over time, but I just used super glue to keep the figures together. Slime was very wet and messy, but the one with sand was nice.

I don't know all the characters, but there is a good selection and we got 2 different characters in the set. The slime was unplayable with, but the foam was easy to remove and store for future use. The difficult part was fitting in the glue hearts flat in position. Wetting them first made it easy to force into place. The characters were heavy block heads so they are nice to play with afterwards. The nongold/nonrare items were not memorable and worse part. Son enjoyed cracking them open, wonder why they were both swords, asked for a pick axe eventhough it would be "weaker" .

These are great! I didn’t really understand what they were at first, but I knew it was Minecraft, and that my nephew would probably like it. When you open it there is a little shovel, and a packet of tiny red hearts. The purple box has a layer of very soft, brittle plastic stuff that crumbles easily when “mined” with the enclosed shovel. Inside you find a packet to open, and inside that packet is either a purple ooze, or a snow substance I believe. We got two with the amethyst ooze. There are pieces in the ooze that have to be pulled out, and cleaned off, then you puzzle the pieces together using the enclosed red hearts, and the little water dropper. The hearts turn in to a glue like substance when water is added. In the end, this was our final result. They are different (almost) every time, but I guess with any of these surprise toy things, occasionally you will get a duplicate. You won’t know what you got until it’s done. That’s my one issue with these, because it isn’t cheap to buy these, and kids get pretty bummed when they use their allowance to buy one, and it ends up being the same one they had already. Otherwise it’s a super fun gift to get any Minecraft enthusiast!

So the toy itself is okay I guess. My kiddo was excited to "mine open" the box - issue is the exterior boxes and interior one were all leaking goop. Its not even really slime. Think like syrup consistency- a purple mess. My kiddo was all peeved off he couldn't keep the slime (which isn't slime - its liquid so there's no way to really contain it to keep) and it just was kind of a disappointment to me for what I expected on comparison to what we got. The box is pretty decent sized but the toys inside are small. Likely would not purchase again

Ordered for my son for Christmas last year and he loved it. Was so neat that it had Minecraft toys inside, and then the slime as well to play with.
